In terms of entering India, Booster Juice Indian franchisee, Naqvi, has many connections with Indian retail industry, such as local malls and developers. Being a native Indian and living in Ontario for many years, he also has thorough understanding of both Canadian and Indian culture and communication styles, which would help the business to adapt culture differences quickly. Overall, both the business itself and its franchisee have many strengths and advantages.

On the other side, weaknesses exist in expanding into India. ...illness in the United States? The occurrence of hepatitis A in the United States is heterogeneous because of disease cycles with substantial variation in incidence among states and involvement of numerous behavioral risk factors. In spite of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices' (ACIP) 1999 recommendation for routine hepatitis A immunization in states with high rates of disease and the fact that disease rates are at a historic low, outbreaks continue to occur. A total of 256 hepatitis A outbreaks were identified from 1994 through 2004. The mean number of outbreaks was 23 per year median 25. The number of outbreaks in states with traditionally low/intermediate endemic rates of hepatitis A remained relatively constant during the study period. ...Practice Case 1: Discussion Seminar 2 - Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc: Energy Beverages– Kerin & Peterson page 105. Case Questions: How would you characterise the energy beverage category, competitors, consumers, channels, and DPSG’s category participation in late 2007? Beverage category: the energy beverage market produced estimated retail dollar sales of $6.2 billion in 2006. Off premise sales through convenience stores, supermarkets and mass merchandisers accounted for 71% of total retail sales in 2006. On premise retailers, such as restaurants and nightclubs, accounted for 29% of total retail sales. From 2001-2006, total energy beverage retail sales grew at an average annual rate 42.5% Industry analysts were projecting an average annual growth rate of 10.5% from 2007-2011. The slower growth rate was attributed to market maturity, increased price and package competition, and the entrance of hybrid energy beverages such as energy water, energy fruit drinks, ready to drink energy teas, and energy colas. Intense competition Competitors: 5 competitors dominate the US beverage market: Redbull (market leader), North America, Hansen Natural Corporation, Pepsi Cola, Rockstar, Inc. and Coca Cola. Consumers: Males between ages of 12 and 34 as they are the heaviest users, most consumed in the afternoon followed by morning consumption. Most consumers drink energy beverages at home, in the car, and at work/school. Channels: convenience stores and off premise...

Well, that’s not the case at all. I will cut through all the crap and tell it like it is. In fact, I only signed a contract with Blue Star Nutraceuticals with the mutual understanding that I will only talk about products that I have actually used with measurable results. If I take something and it does nothing, that’s exactly what I’ll say. I don’t want anyone to go through the frustrating cycle of wasting money on crap like I did. If the owner of Blue Star wasn’t the most straight up CEO in the industry with the quality of his products being the most important thing to him, I wouldn’t have signed because of how I feel about supplement companies. I’ll say this- It takes a hell of a confident, stand up guy to sign me to a contract knowing where I stand with my brutal honesty about the industry. Without further ado, here is my straight talking report for you. Enjoy, and make use of it. Supplements are used by millions of people every year in the hopes of losing fat, building muscle and improving overall health. For our purpose, we will be talking about supplements that are being marketed to guys looking to build lean muscle mass. Supplements are a multi-billion dollar industry that is highly unregulated in comparison to other industries....

And it’s the leading cause of death of nearly 25,000 Canadians annually. Because sedentary lifestyles, lack of exercise, and stress also contribute to this problem, people want a quick fix to weight loss and naturally that leads them to fad diets or pills, instead of behavior modification. (Kaur, 2011). Obesity is a medical term used to describe a state of excessive body weight, when it is at least 20% higher than the stipulated norm within a specific population category (Simon, 2011). Obesity is defined as having a body-mass index of 30 or more, a measure of weight for height. It has long been debated whether obesity is a relative measure and should not be used as a stigma to label overweight people. However, the fact is, when the weight of a person significantly exceeds a certain norm for their age and gender, the health and well-being of that person tend to generally decrease in quality. Obesity might not...
