Main gang members Sunny and Koby Abberton have made a documentary to tell their side of the story and prove their innocence. Today I will be discussing and reviewing whether or not it is true that the "Bra Boys" are depicted by the media as being maligned. Within the Bra Boys documentary they are stating themselves not to be a gang, but a brotherhood. Sammy the narrator in the story shows his immaturity throughout the story especially when a group of girls walk in the grocery store only wearing their swimming suits. Sammy who is extremely juvenile and kind of creepy observes every detail of the girls, especially one girl in particular he nicknamed Queenie. For example, he notices Queenie’s bra straps dangling in a sensual way from which he fantasies about her inner self. Sammy continues his immature behavior when he disregarders customers in effort to impress the girls creating the illusion he is a bad boy. If we look at these objects there is no wonder everybody knows that pink is specified for girls and blue for boys. But how did this become a common thought? Since when do we use colors to make a difference between genders? And why exactly did we choose pink and blue to fulfill this role? In the 1800s most infants were dressed in white and both boys and girls wore dresses or short skirts until the age of five or six. Although, there was a few small difference between boy and girl clothing. For example girls wore dresses which were buttoned up in the back while boys’ dresses were buttoned up in the front.
