Do you know who was Chuine Sugihara ? If you don’t know, Chiune Sugihara was and still is a very important person. Chuine risked everything so that he could save the Jews. Chuine had a very important person, helping and supporting him it was his wife Yukiko. She was there to support Sugihara; she even helped him sign some visas. After, Chuine and Yukiko were honored as ‘’Righteous Gentiles’’ for their efforts to save the Jews from the Holocaust. Chuine Sugihara’s life
To begin with, Chuine Sugihara was born January 1, 1900. He graduated from High School with top marks. His father wanted Sugihara to become a doctor but, based on what I’ve read Sugihara’s dream was to study literature and live abroad. So, Sugihara went for his dream and he attended the Waseda University to study English. Then, Sugihara found an opportunity he found out that the Foreign Ministry was seeking people who wanted to study abroad and to maybe have a career in the diplomatic society. People thought that it wasn’t right to discriminate Jews like how they did. Chuine influenced people to change. Chuine saved more than 6,000 Jews that was the 2nd greatest amount of Jews saved during the Holocaust. Based on the article ‘’Chuine Sugihara’’ he saved most of these 6,000 Jews by giving most of them visas to escape. Chuine also wrote more than 300 visas that would take consuls months to write and sign that many visas.
