The WBS must include the work defined by the project scope. It needs to capture all the deliverables in the project being internal and external.

Analogous: This is frequently used to estimate project duration when there is a limited amount of detailed information about the current project. It uses historical information from a past similar project as the basis of estimating the duration and cost of the current project. As this also uses expert judgement, it is most reliable when the project activities are similar in fact not just appearance and that the project team have the expert knowledge they need when preparing the estimate.
Parametric: This is a more accurate form of estimating the cost and duration as it uses the unit cost or duration multiplied by the number of units required for the project.
