...Business Intelligence is very important for a business and it can either help or hurt a business depending on how it is used. Now if it is used correctly this can create more much efficient ways of going about a companies process or getting information and making big decisions. The biggest thing with business intelligence is getting the information that you are looking for easily compared to what some other companies do, by using long formulas on a spreadsheet which could sometimes take hours to collect to get what could be accurate information. While looking through some businesses that have implemented BI (Business Intelligence) into their company, I was able to determine that they all became more efficient and in the end used less man hours getting information that they were looking for. Some businesses try collecting business information and it comes from a variety of different places and sources, to be put together in one area. This for one takes time to gather and two is much less efficient, requiring more people and more hours, causing a company to lose money. Sometimes the information may not be entirely accurate as well because of how long it takes to gather up and by the time they get the information they are looking for it is already out of date. There are many forms of assessments that teachers can use to evaluate students understanding of lesson material. I will suggest a few methods that I will use in my secondary education mathematics classroom. The first strategy of monitoring I will discuss will be quizzes. There are multiple advantages for this form of testing. First, is that it easily produces recorded data. I can quickly grade multiple choice questions and record the students’ grade. Being able to record this grade will allow me to present scores to the parents when I am asked for a student’s progress. Another advantage to a quiz is the ability to assess both the entire class and each individual’s understanding on a topic. I will be able to look at the overall measurement and decide whether there is a need to review the topic or lesson, or if the class is ready to advance in the given studies. The received Fayol portrayed in contemporary texts invariably emerges as a caricature of a much more insightful, complex, visionary and rounded management thinker. This study re-examines Fayol’s personal and career history, as well as the arguments presented in his original work, General and Industrial Management. It finds that he was a much more complex and multidimensional figure than his conventional stereotype today, and that his management theories embraced a wider spectrum of approaches and concepts than traditionally identified with the classical management school of thought.
