Business Models, Systems and Oganizations

The local business that I frequently use is Target. I love this store because it’s a one stop shop for all of my needs. I visit the store at least once a week. I can get anything from laundry detergent to groceries, clothes and even household needs. This store has the three main business components detailed below.

The definition of a business as a commerce as it relates to Target is when people in business produce, exchange, barter and trade goods and services for their specific need. I believe Targets business commerce is to trade goods and services. I say this because the store has everything any consumer would want housed in one location.

The definition of a business as an occupation as it relates to Target is when the business trades skill or labor. It allows an organization to provide value in their goods and services. Target there is a high level of skill set that the organization has to have. This helps with keeping great customer service at an all-time high. It also helps in creating goods and services that are valuable to consumers. Target seems to reinvest in their employees. This gives them the advantage to continue to train their employees and produce their products in mass quantities. This allows the brand to continue to grow.

The definition of a business as an organization as it relates to Target is when a business uses bargaining and negotiating for goods and or services. Target is one of the most organized businesses I have ever visited. Most stores of their store locations are the same. You can pretty much go into any Target in any city and know your way around. I think that is a plus because the businesses main purpose is to work to a common goal. This is making the customers shopping experience simplistic as possible. Targets structure has grown tremendously over time. Target has found a way to find products of a higher standard. And sell to the consumer at a reduced price. Target is a joint stock company.

...Running head: WE’VE ALWAYS DONE IT THIS WAY! WE’VE ALWAYS DONE IT THIS WAY! Dale Chaisson Brandman University Self, Systems, & Leadership Dr. Brooks November 21, 2013 We’ve Always Done It This Way! Is it possible for an organization to succeed without some type of Learning System in place? If so, how does one quantify the success statistics? What is the culture like? Does this organization promote upward mobility? These are some of the issues, problems, and concerns I’m faced with in my current situation. Hopefully, during the course of my research and dissection of my organization I’ll be able to pinpoint the ROOT CAUSE. All to often we (human beings) tend to take the least path of resistance of any particular situation at any given time. Well, it’s time to face the music-so to speak. It’s time we cycle back and match our vision with reality. I can remember my first day speaking with the team, boy was that an eye opener! All I heard was, “this is how it’s supposed to be done. However this how WE do it because my way is proven-and has been for the last 30 years. So you just do what I say and you should be okay.” Needless to say, I knew right then and there I had my work cut out for me. As I met more and more co-workers the common theme was, “ just stay under the radar and you’ll be okay.” learning disabilities of this magnitude pose a huge threat to everyone’s forward progress. Yes, my company has a cornucopia of learning disabilities. The following is my...

This paper will discuss pertinent network and computer security issues and will present some of the threats to e-commerce and customer privacy. These threats originate from both hackers as well as the e-commerce site itself. Another threat may originate at ostensibly friendly companies such as DoubleClick, MemberWorks and similar firms that collect customer information and route it to other firms. Much of this transaction information is able to be associated with a specific person making these seemingly friendly actions potential threats to consumer privacy.
