SWOT Analysis

SWOT analysis enables an organization to understand itself. It provides information on the business strengths and weaknesses in relation to the opportunities and threats it faces. It is also part often of the situation analysis, where the company determines where it stands on four key strategic areas to better determine what changes to make.

The recipe costing section of the Foodco program allows you to build recipes in a manner that cooks understand and at the same time you will determine the true cost of your recipes. Foodco makes it easy to build recipes using a step-by-step wizard that walks you through the process of setting these up.
As you define your recipes, you can define written procedures, serving information, and analyze profitability margins. You can set a targeted food cost percentage and Foodco will automatically calculate the menu price you should charge in order to achieve your goals. Re-arranging ingredients is a snap. You can copy similar recipes as a starting point for new recipe which will speed up the installation time.
There are several types of recipes that can be defined, Foodco gives you the flexibility to have recipes built the way you are use to seeing them. This is often determined on the type of operation: * Batch recipes that you make in large quantities * Accompaniment recipes that are served with many dishes i.e. garnishes, plate setups, etc, * Sales mix recipes for items that you do not have accountability for on your POS * Menu items that are sold to the consumer
Within Foodco you can have recipes used within other recipes for many different level which will make it easier to build them and reduce the number of steps you have to perform when building your database.
