...Introduction As consultants for CanGo, our job is to make sure that CanGo is up to date with all its policies and regulations and is overall running as smoothly and efficient as possible. Our goal for CanGo is to help them answer any questions that they might have or might arise in the near future. We have come across quite some problems with the company already, but are typical because of the short time that the company has been around. New businesses typically fall into this type of category, where they run into problems, which they don’t even know there is or exist. With CanGo taking on an AS/RS it can really help the company take off and be even more successful than it already is. But first CanGo needs to look with in its company and fix issues such as not having either of vision or mission statement that both employees and customers can look back on and see what this company is all about. With CanGo not handling personnel issues properly can cause ugly lawsuits in the future, and this is something we want to avoid. The top management team at CanGo has a lot of improvements to make from decision making to evaluating employees properly. Over the weeks we will work closely with everyone at CanGo and turn this company around and give it a fresh start. Interactive Alpha Consulting has been retained by CanGo to observe their business processes and provide any course of action needed to address various challenges facing the firm. During our observation, my...

...SWOT ANALYSIS Looking back over the past two weeks I have observed many strengths within CanGo. The following is a list of the strengths as seen in the videos; (9=urgently need to be addressed, 6=needs to be addressed, 3=should be addressed, and 1=can be addressed) • Jack was introduced to us and brought possibly a great idea to the table. (9) • CanGo has recognized a problem with shipping and is attempting to repair it. (3) • CanGo has constructed its website to mirror the consumer buying process. (3) • The team is attempting to find out why shoppers place items in their virtual shopping carts but don’t follow through with the purchase. (9) • Andrew utilized VALS2 to get a better understanding of their target market. (3) • CanGo has built their technology around the behaviors of the consumers. (9) • There was an increase in sales to the Japanese market. (6) • Debbie continues to be a strong team member who doesn’t hesitate to step up. (3) • Assets to liabilities look favorable. (6) • Profit created from revenue. (6) Looking at CanGo over the past two weeks has shown that the company has great ideas and continues to look for ways to improve the company. During week three, we were introduced to Jack; who laid out a chart of the warehouse before and after the installation of an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). The ASRS system would allow CanGo to process more orders at a quicker rate preventing the products to sit in the warehouse for extended periods...

...Week 2 Analysis Report This is an analysis which identifies six issues with their respective solution for the CanGocompany. The issues have been itemized according to their importance. 1) Mission Statement Problem: There is no mission statement for the company that would shape the company's purpose in the market. As such there is no guidance as to where the company is heading. "Self-analysis allows an organization to take the first giant step toward setting out common goals and developing a dear sense of direction" (Pierre Helfer, 2010). They lack focus on what they want to do as a company and as an example of the negative impact of this are the problems they experienced with their functional operations. Solution: Solution to this would be to write a mission statement. CanGo need to determine what they want to do in the market and define it. This will give them a purpose and the ability to set goals which in turn will help them steer their decisions towards the right direction. 2) Short and Long Term Goals Problem: Short Term or Long Term goals have not been set for the company to be successful. CanGo tends to make decisions on the go without a very strong analysis done. Solution: Create Short Term and Long Term goals for the company to provide a clear understanding for the future of the company and “Managers must maintain both a vision for the future of the organization as well as a focus on its present operating needs. However, financial markets can exert...

...EHR selection and decision-making process An electronic health record or EHR is a concept defined as a collection of electronic health information about individual patients or populations. Once an EHR system is installed and staff are trained in its proper use, retrieving and updating patient clinical records is performed substantially faster and with fewer errors. In most cases, this allows health care providers to finish patient charting more quickly, and to do so while with the patient, increasing accuracy and completeness of the record. This can result in an increase in scheduled visits per hour with no lessoning of patient care quality. Also, by reducing the burden of administrative work, it allows a healthcare provider to concentrate more on the patient and less on paperwork. By definition, an EHR system is a record in digital format that is capable of being shared across different health care settings. In some cases this sharing can occur by way of network-connected, enterprise-wide information systems and other information networks or exchanges. EHRs may include a range of data, including demographics, medical history, medication and allergies, immunization status, laboratory test results, radiology images, vital signs, personal statistics like age and weight, and billing information. There is much variety of health record software available for medical records. Sharing patient charts and medical information with other health care providers is also made substantially...

This strategy would not allow the company to stay successful in the long run. Liz thinks that the success of the company has nothing to do with strategic planning. As a result, she fails to recognize the importance of strategic management planning. This issue is the top priority to be addressed because it is the core foundation of the success of the company (BUSN 460, Week 1 Video, 2003). Goals that are either too easy or too difficult are less likely to motivate employees. Also, goals that are too difficult will only bring an increase in stress which can lead to low morale in the subordinates ((BUSN 460, Week 1 & 2 Video, 2003). ...Cango Week 2 Analysis Can Go Analysis Report BUSN 460 week 2 Can Go is a company with great ideas and visions for their future. They have identified a trend in the gaming industry that is certain to bring them success; online gaming. While they have a general idea of how this will be done, it is mostly in the mind of the boss. Delegating the investigation of how to attain these goals to his subordinates proves challenging as there is a good amount of disorganization within the company. There are varying levels of organization and strengths within the staff of the company. Debby seems to be the most knowledgeable and organized of the group while Nick feels that he is organized and on top of everything but he is gravely mistaken. His organizational skills leave something to be desired. The boss, “Coach”, is great at involving the group in regular communication gatherings where they are briefed on what is required of them that week/day. The boss is also strong at encouraging participation in these meetings. Debby seems to be the one person that brings everyone together to become a more cohesive team and one that thinks more clearly and in a more organized way. Debby is also great at teaching others how to best prioritize by using Gantt charts to map out their deadlines. I recommend that Debby acts as a type of supervisor and is allowed to guide the others to become more organized in their daily activities. This can be accomplished by identifying more of the moderately difficult...
