Develop a creative name for your Lemonade Stand, and then explain why a name is important when you are considering branding options?
The name that I have chosen to go with for my lemonade stand is “The undistracted lemon squeezer”. The reason I decided to come up with this name is because, it sounds like my lemonade stand is the destroyer of all lemons. The name also makes it sound like this lemonade stand can be the bet out there. It can make any perfect glass of ice cold liquid gold, turn into amazing refreshing lemonade. I believe that my lemonade stand name is vital when I am considering marketing alternatives because I believe a name can make a difference. If it is not a catchy name, not many will notice it. People will just look at the stand and walk away if the name is just the lemonade stand. Since it’s a catchy name; it’s absolutely impossible that a client that makes a trip to quench their thirst will forget a name like the undistracted lemon squeezer.
Create a Mission Statement for your Lemonade Stand (Chapter 7); then explain why a mission statement is important for any company?
To me a statement of purpose is the thing that ought to help a man to continue spending their cash at a foundation. A few illustrations of the statement of purpose are to help the populace of the group, fulfill the customer needs, and so on. The undistracted lemon squeezer stand's main goal is to raise cash to further research in bosom malignancy. We endeavor to raise cash to ideally roll out an improvement in no less than one men or lady's life, regardless of the fact that is a few pennies of benefit. It improves everybody feel about themselves that a rate of their cash went to help somebody needing help. I accept that a statement of purpose is critical for an organization in light of the fact that it indicates what the organization objective is. It demonstrates which heading the organization is on and precisely what result will be on the off chance that they are effective.
You are very involved in your community; please outline your CSR plan (Chapter 4) for your business.
The Corporate Social Responsibility arrange I have is that for each $4 we earn from offering our business item, we will give $2 to a charity of our determination. This way, people will love spending their money at my lemonade stand. The charity that will receive the donations is the IIIB's Foundation. Likewise, we guarantee on utilizing just every common fixing to make our lemonade. This implies that we will be utilizing organic ingredients, no manufactured sweeteners. This would mean, we are only allowed to sweeten our lemonade with brown sugar, and just using fresh lemons. By using organic ingredients, it will attract more customers due to the fact that the lemonade is healthier. That is my business' Corporate Social Responsibility arrangement.
The textbook lists many different types of pricing strategies, please pick one of these and explain how you will deliver on this strategy with your stand. (Chapter 14)
The estimating methodology that I picked is marketing objectives. Our organization will convey on this procedure to this stand by contending with our rival's stand. Our rival, Walter, manage the Lemonade Stand "flavorful lemonada" who charges $1.50 for one cup of lemonade. On the other hand, they utilize manufactured fixings, for example, artificial flavoring and white sugar. These ingredients are usually not as healthy as utilizing organic ingredients. My organization concluded that we need to have a value that is higher than Walter's cost. We believe chances that increasing the value; individuals will know we put healthier fixings in our lemonade, which cost more. We concluded that we need to charge $2.00 for a cup of lemonade. That is my organization's estimating technique.
Even though you only sell to local customers, you understand that you could package your lemonade and sell it online globally. Evaluate whether or not the company should go global by creating an online presence and selling your lemonade online (Chapter 3).
Since social media has been spreading many advertisements lately, our organization ought to go worldwide because this will increase our profit by a lot. First, our organization would make an online site, which would build the organization's reputation with online clients. The more clients who see or visit this site, the more chances people will start knowing about our business. People can also easily start spreading our online site to spread our organization. Additionally, our organization would make accounts on a wide range of online networking sites, for example, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and so forth. This will help spread our organization throughout the entire world. Every individual today starting to use social network for everything, therefor many people today will see our business page.

...ASSIGNMENT ONE: DUE Mar. 30 1. What factors contribute to the rapid pace of change in business? Is the pace likely to accelerate or decrease over the next decade? Why? (Your opinion, supported by reasoning, not just a list from the text) I believe the four factors of production contribute to the rapid pace of change in business. I also believe that the five key dimensions of the business environment help in the competitive environment. With this alone the pace is likely to accelerate over the next decade based on examples such as Entrepreneurship is growing so rapidly we can all expect to see a change, however it is honestly hard to tell because there are still unforeseen factors just like the 9/11 attack that helped bring our economy down, what about other factors that cannot be predicted because they are sudden. Overall I do expect to see both an increase and a decrease. 2. What role does entrepreneurship play in the economy? Who stands to gain from the success of individual entrepreneurs? How do other parties benefit? Entrepreneurship plays a very important role. I believe everyone stands to gain. For example, I am thinking of starting my own online boutique. I am creating business for myself however I still will need to create an online site(which is money to the owner of the site I will use) The postal service,(when I have to ship merchandise to the customer) and the wholesale distributor who supplies my goods for profits. 3. When did American...

...The industry of premium coffee production has had a shadow cast over it by the coffee juggernaut, Starbucks. As any American who has been out of their home in the last fifteen years knows, Starbucks has virtually taken over the coffee retail business all over the US. It would prove quite difficult to go to any relatively large city or town and not see at least two Starbucks retail stores or find their products in the local grocery store. With such a formidable competitor present in the industry, it seems improbable that any other producer of premium coffee would be able to compete. A small, Vermont based coffee brewer by the name of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) has managed to carve out a piece of the market for itself and has begun spreading all over the northeast United States. Originating in 1981, Green Mountain Coffee was originally supplied to customers of a small café but once word spread of their high quality coffee beans and unique selection and roasting process, their product began to spread to different venues. Restaurant and hotel demand boost Green Mountain into the wholesale industry. Within the next fifteen years they had opened twelve company stores that were responsible for ten percent of their income. However, they noticed a steady decline in the returns they were seeing from these retail stores and decided to close its stores; a risky move considering that they had always been an important means of providing samples of their product to the consumer. Despite...

...N atural Designs manufactures a variety of bird feeders, garden accessories, and other items intended to help people get in touch with and observe nature. Founded in 1995 by Jim McMaster in LaGrange, Illinois, the company started when he was working as a fourth-grade teacher. Presentations to students on birds and wildlife had a way of capturing their enthusiasm; thus, McMaster started offering presentations to other schools in the greater Chicago area. Within a few years, McMaster was so busy doing presentations at various schools, as well as running nature camps from his home, that he quit his full-time job as an elementary school teacher to form Natural Designs. At first, Natural Designs was mostly Jim and his wife giving presentations and running camps, but gradually the company expanded to sell some of the bird feeders and other nature devices featured in his class talks. Today, the company has sales of $2 million per year, most of which comes from physical products sold to outdoor, nature, and bird stores such as Wild Birds Unlimited. In the first few years of operation, Jim McMaster and his wife, Sheila, produced bird feeders and other products in their garage. In 1997, however, the operation became too large for their garage, so they rented a 4,000-square-foot facility for production and distribution purposes. They also hired two employees to manage these two functions so that the McMasters could continue giving school talks...

...I. Analysis Problem: Jabwood International is experiencing a downward trend in revenue and sales and may continue this trend if change is not made immediately. Causes: Due to the financial crisis and economic downturn across the world, Lebanon has seen an almost flat performance in the real estate market driving down the prices of raw materials used in construction such as wood. Advances in transportation and technology have led to increased competition in the timber industry. A subsidiary of Jabwood based out of Saudi Arabia was closed for non-business related matters. This subsidiary, before closure, contributed almost half of Jabwood’s sales. Jabwood is a large company that has a very strict and limiting business structure. Jabwood’s physical presence remains solely in Lebanon. Jabwood relies heavily on one major supplier for approximately 60 to 70 percent of its revenue. This supplier intends to offer the opportunity to sell to other wood wholesalers, eliminating Jabwood’s exclusivity. Possible Alternatives: In order to increase revenue and sales, Jabwood International has many options. In my opinion, the only feasible options would include expanding their business into two countries: Saudi Arabia and China. Expanding into the Saudi Arabia market is a very enticing solution for many reasons. Saudi Arabia does not have its own wood supply and therefore relies heavily on other countries for this need. Jabwood has had operations in Saudi Arabia in the past and is aware of...

Target Audience: Professionals in any work environment who wants to hone their conflict resolution skills. Needs Assessment and Analysis Conducting a needs assessment is a vital aspect of training. ...Hyun Supplee BUSN 115 05/06/2014 Week One Homework I believe the command economy would be the best choice in dealing with a crisis. In a Command economy raw materials and goods are controlled by a central form of authority or a government body. The government body controls the raw materials dictating different prices they feel to be just. The thought in a command economy is that it is better to have the nation’s government control the market instead of the people who would be only interested in personnel gain. If a crisis were to occur the command economy would be the fastest to respond to the threat. Since the government has controlling power over the goods any resource needed to fix the problem could be easily moved. With other economies it might take a while to get the necessary resources from the many different people controlling them. In a command economy the government also has the added power of offering incentives to workers that help with relief. For example a worker in a command economy could be offered better housing or pay incentives to help others. In terms of handling a crisis I believe that a socialist system would be the best prepared to handle the situation. In a socialist system the community works together and creates products that everyone needs. Everyone working in the community is working to better benefit the health of the society and the people living there. The trash man and lawyer both get paid the same amount of money because the view is that...

...Introduction The following paper addresses the use of data collection used to involve community health workers as partners in evaluation research whose role is not typically that of a trained researcher but could actively participate in the collection of information. The data collection techniques that was employed was qualitative evaluation data that used a voice over internet protocol phone-in system to provide narrative reports as well as the community outreach workers own experiences regarding challenges faced by women in their outreach activities. The data collection method used was the VoIP system that allowed the outreach workers to call a telephone number at anytime and leave a recorded message of any length during the day or night. The VoIP system allows multiple users to call in simultaneously without getting busy signals when compared to the traditional telephone and voicemail systems (Peacock, Issel, Townsell, Chapple-McGruder & Handler, 2011). The use of qualitative method for the collection of data works in sync with the VoIP system because it is used for non-numerical measurements of characteristics such as discrete characteristics of a group of individuals or objects (Elementary Statistics, 2013). The pros of using this method is that it explore more in depth and detail when compared to quantitative research, it is less expensive than quantitative research because you don’t need to recruit as many participants and it offers flexibility as far as locations...

...In reference to e-book Chapter 2, problem 11 (found on e-book, p. 73), discuss the questions presented in Cases and Problems 2-11. Are there situations in which a company, for the common good, must give up the economic advantage accorded by intellectual property laws? How should the Bayer credo – Bayer: Success Through Expertise with Responsibility – impact its corporate responsibility in the anthrax situation? In your discussion, make reference to the Social Responsibility of Corporations Matrix, Exhibit 2.2 (p. 48) and the models of business ethics (found in e-book, pp. 47–49). My first action, as a representative of Bayer, would be to release production capabilities under specific contractual controls to other pharmaceutical facilities in order to meet the demand for the antibiotic, this enables Bayer to meet its 'common good' practice sited in its corporate policy by matching supply with demand, maintain control of its product, remain profitable, and benefit from increased production. During times of public welfare, epidemics, war, or terroristic actions companies should recognize the human element, hold it to a higher standard, and utilize methods that ensure that the company is not put into jeopardy and meets the public demand at the same time. If Bayer would have been open and honest about its production capabilities (shortages), made an effort to contract with third-party facilities to manufacture large quantities of the antibiotic, and reduce their profit margins...

...Assignment one, Mar.28 Instructions 1. What factors contribute to the rapid pace of change in business? Is the pace likely to accelerate or decrease over the next decade? Why? (Your opinion, supported by reasoning, not just a list from the text) A. The factors that contribute to the rapid pace of change in business are human resources, capital, natural resources, entrepreneurship, and technology which all play a factor into a rapid change of pace. The pace is likely to increase because all of these factors are growing rapidly. In my opinion, the pace is likely to increase based on what we have seen in the past years. Just ten years ago we did not have sources like I-phones and drones as advanced as we do now, I-phones can now do many things via your watch. Drones can deliver things to your home by flying, people want faster pace things to make life for them easier and faster. 2. What role does entrepreneurship play in the economy? Who stands to gain from the success of individual entrepreneurs? How do other parties benefit? A. The roles that entrepreneurship plays in this economy are being the key to the economy and its growth. It is my belief that everyone stands to gain from the success of individuals as a nation, and most economies support individual entrepreneurs. The whole economy is going to gain from an entrepreneur starting a business. Other parties benefit by being able to decrease the people they hire in their workplace and not pay as many employees. These courts are broken down by specific function with several courts falling on the same general level albeit with key functions that separate them from the rest. Virginia’s judicial system is comprised of the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Court of Appeals of Virginia, and circuit courts in 31 judicial circuits. General District as well as Juvenile and Domestic Relations district courts exist in 32 judicial circuits, as do magistrate offices. The magistrate offices serve the Commonwealth of Virginia through 32 judicial districts. The primary function of the magistrate office is to ensure the eligibility of bail for an arrested person by conducting probable cause hearings. These hearings are based on complaints of criminal behavior that are brought to the magistrate’s attention either via law enforcement officials or by the general public. This is typically the first step in the hierarchy of Virginia’s judicial court system. The Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court (JDRC) serves the Commonwealth of Virginia in all 32 judicial districts as well.
