Every company needs to have human resource management department because it is of organizational activities directed at attracting, developing, and maintaining effective workforce. Effective workforce is employee, there are important for improving productivity.
Manpower requirements
As mentioned, employees are important. Picasso factory has about 60 employees,40 of them are in factory side and 20 of them are working in office. For example employee in the office side, are Human resource, accountancy, marketing and IT departments. Human resource department is responsible to hire employee, accountancy department is for calculating profits and loss. Marketing department is to promote and make sales.IT department is to look out the company through online.
In human resource planning, the first step is to have job analysis when hiring employee it is a systematic analysis of job in the company. Job analysis involves job description and job specification. Job description is employee getting a briefing of their job scope. Job specification is to let the employee know what skills, abilities and other qualifications in order to get the job. For example employees who want to work in factory side, needs to have some specific technical skills like handicrafts and computing skills to control the machines. Whereas employees who want to work in the office needs to be degree holders from university.
Recruitment process
Recruitment process is process of attracting qualified persons to apply for open job. There are two types of the recruitment process which is internal and external recruiting. Internal recruitment is a practice of recruiting old employees as candidates for jobs. For example human resource department announced that a manager is retiring and the job is vacant. The existing employees are encouraged to go for the vacant job.
