Over several years of reading and contributing to various conferences on C including those on the FidoNet and UseNet, I have noted a large number of newcomers to C appear to have a difficult time in grasping the fundamentals of pointers. I therefore undertook the task of trying to explain them in plain language with lots of examples. The first version of this document was...

...TUTORIAL ASSESSMENT You will be assessed in two different ways via tutorials throughout the study period. Part A – Tutorial Answers Each week, starting from Week 2, you will be required to complete answers to a series of tutorial questions. These are to be completed prior to the tutorial with further discussion from students and tutors provided in the tutorials. On three randomly selected weeks, you will need to hand up your answers to your tutor in the tutorial for marking. Each of these three submissions is worth 4% of your final grade. The randomly selected weeks will vary for each tutorial. The tutorial questions for each week are as follows: Week 2: Questions to prepare at home: 1) Why is it more useful to research the ‘who, what, when’ of buying rather than the ‘why’? 2) You have recently been appointed as the Marketing Assistant for Nescafe, a large coffee manufacturer. Elwood St. Phoenix, AZ 85034 Good Day, TEAM B WILL CRAFT A MANUAL BASED ON THE LIBRARY SERVICE (SEE ATTACHED) Team B’s choice of creating a manual on the Library did not come without some deliberation. Most of the team’s members had no experience on how to begin the process of creating a manual of any kind. Team B’s reasoning behind choosing the Library is, although it seems like something that wouldn’t be much to cover in a manual, it has much to offer in the way of content and services. Our intentions for selecting the Library are to have enough content to constitute a solid manual, yet be small enough to allow an easy understanding of how to create a manual. Not to say the Library does not have much to offer for a manual. When contemplating between the Library and the Online Learning System (OLS), we believe that the OLS would have more content, which would make it easier to create a hearty manual. After breaking down each of the two candidates, we found that the Library has more to offer than just some databases that hold books and a program that tells its users whether they have plagiarized or not. In the end, our decision is to write the manual over the Library and its many benefits and services to students at University of Phoenix. Thank you for your time, Team B University of Phoenix Library The library consists of...

... BLOCK EN Ian Steven Corsame Homework in ENLRES “Educational Outcomes of Tutoring: A Meta-Analysis of Findings” A meta-analysis of findings from 65 independent evaluations of school tutoring programs showed that these programs have positive effects on the academic performance and attitudes of those who receive tutoring. Tutored students outperformed control students on examinations, and they also developed positive attitudes toward the subject matter covered in the tutorial programs. The meta-analysis also showed that tutoring programs have positive effects on children who serve as tutors. Like the children they helped, the tutors gained a better understanding of and developed more positive attitudes toward the subject matter covered in the tutorial program. Participation in tutoring programs had little or no effect, however, on the self-esteem of tutors and tutees. The tutoring programs offered in many elementary and secondary schools today differ in an important way from yesterday's tutorial programs. In most modern programs, children are tutored by peers or paraprofessionals rather than by regular school teachers or professional tutors. The use of peer and paraprofessional tutors has dramatically affected the availability of tutoring programs. No longer a luxury available only to aristocratic elites, tutoring programs today are open to boys and girls in ordinary classrooms throughout the country. Hundreds of teachers and researchers already have written reports on...
