Young supporters armed with partisan zeal have been fighting each other mostly verbally, but sometimes by force too. This had been happening for the primacy of the students’ movement on behalf of their political patrons, while at the same time laying the stepping stone for their future professional careers within the party apparatus. Professors are also actively involved in this entanglement choosing sides either based on their political preferences or their personal objectives. This interaction with the students benefited a few of them but defamed and scorned the rest. All those who were not collaborating with the influential minorities were either intimidated or marginalized. The students’ influence versus their teachers’ was compounded by the fact that they were allowed to vote in the rectors’ election. This lead to framing a relationship on a quid pro quo basis i.e. you vote for me and I help you with grades. Literally, Xi’an means “peace in the west” in Chinese and it located in the central west part of China in the Wei River valley with Qinling Mountains in the South and Loess Plateau in the North. The Wei River has its source in the mountainous area in Western China and flows eastward into the Yellow River. The Wei River valley was largely formed by the deposition of loess that washed off the plateau to the north (G. Brent Hall and Ji Dong Zhang, 116). The climate in this area is temperate and humid. The spring and early summer are the dry time and most of the precipitation is between May and October. The fertile and abundance of arable lands together with the temperate climate gave birth to the early Chinese civilization and the rise of Zhou people, who established their reign in northern China. Later, China was divvied into seven independent states, thus entering the Warring States Period (476B.C. ~ 221B.C.). Xi’an, as the capital of Qin, has great advantage in terms of national security. A rusting monument to America's industrial past, the Cleveland plant once employed some 18,000 workers who manufactured 500 different kinds of steel used in everything from General Motors (GM ) cars to Maytag (MYG ) appliances. These days, the sprawling site, which spans both banks of the Cuyahoga River, is largely still. Just two mills, manned by about 1,200 workers are still operating, although at something far below capacity.
