The American Library Association is known for its’ banned book list, a set of books characterized by parents, teachers, and professors as being anything from, Anne Frank’s The Diary of Anne Frank being “too depressing”, to Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends for “promoting cannibalism”.
