Members of the jury Captain Henry Wirz is guilty of war crimes, and should be sentenced to death unlike all the rest of the Confederate soldiers. Captain Henry Wirz has medical background of occupational therapy, and he allowed the prisoners of Andersonville survive in such horrible conditions. Captain Wirz also allowed a substantial amount of violence acts to happen.
Andersonville had no clean supply of water, and the water supply that they had people were bathing in it along with going to use the lavatory in it like it showed in the DVD. The amount food that they were given was not enough to keep them in a healthy living state either there were prisoners picking food up off the ground, among the ones who came in that had money and could smuggle food in somehow and ones who could buy it from the guards. The guards were to be a type of authority and Captain Wirz was to be constructing them to stop the violence. Since the violence was happening and the Raiders were allowed to do as they please with no stop of authority many people died from being jumped. The men that died, their death should be blamed on Captain Wirz and his negligence to provide a clean supply of water and the proper amount of food to the prisoners of Andersonville. He also should be blamed for all the violence that occurred in the camp.
