Over the last several years, Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) has presented a more serious and diverse problem across the world. Although it was not a big concern in the United States until the early 1990’s, CRE is becoming more dangerous as the days go by due to susceptibility (Gupta et al, 2011). CRE is a group of multiple bacterium that is very difficult to treat due to the high resistance to several antibiotics, which has earned them the name “Killer bacteria” or “Nightmare bacteria” (Bradford, A., 2015).
