...Summary on Career Interest Profiler and Job Market Research Yamilet Jorlen UNIV/101 January 16, 2013 I have learned a lot using the Career Interest Profiler and Job Market Research tool. I was able to mentally see what sorts of activities really grab my interest and areas I might find exciting in a career. I was able to learn how my interests might help me explore different careers to make a better career decision. While interest play a key role in identifying occupations other traits such as abilities, skills, values, personality, and previous experience also influence what I find appealing. The Job Market Research tool gave me information about pay scales, degrees, and skills needed to become successful with my career. I found it very useful with many insights into my future career and the opportunities I am best suited for in the near future. My academic program is going to help me achieve my career goals because by me furthering my education will only help me get further in my career. For example, I have maxed out at my job, meaning I can’t get paid any more than what they’re already paying me because I don’t have the college education to move forward and step on the climbing latter. Once I have my bachelor’s degree my career will be able to fall in place. Not only will I get promoted to a better position but I will learn so much more than I know now to help me gain the skills and qualities I need for my career. The Career Exploration Worksheet will be useful in...

I've learned how to research job opportunities, skills required for jobs, educational degree, if any, salary ranges, set goals, and plan appointments with employers. In the Career Resources area, I've learned many useful tips. Interview preparation tips and interview tips are just a couple of useful tips I acknowledged. Also, in the Career Resources section, I was well informed of how to write thank you notes, succeed in telephone interviews, master video interviews, answer common interview questions and much more. The Career Resources is filled with many useful resources that I will be using and the Career Interests Profiler gave me more insight on my profession. My academic program will aid me in achieving my career goals because it will show employers that I have knowledge, insight, and training in my profession and it will also give me encouragement and motivation when applying for job opportunities in my career. Since my Career Exploration Plan Worksheet was not quiet accurate with my career interests, it will not assist me much in developing specific career goals, although, it me aid me in specific career goals with my second career interests.
