In her speech, Carrie Chapman uses Logos when she describes that "We are fighting for the things which we have always carried nearest to our hearts: for democracy, for the right of those who submit to authority to have a voice in their own government." She recognizes her audience in her address and shapes the content directly to them, she uses a strong logical idea, which is, in and of itself a component to win them over gaining their support. She goes on explaining that the government must not fail to follow their own rules, such as "Taxation without representation is tyranny." She suggested that the government must support equal rights since they require taxes from all.
