According to Portsmouth Police Detective Davis, the following took place at 131 Howard Street, Apt 202, in the city of Portsmouth.
“On 10/05/2015, officers made contact with the victim (Janae Lewis, age 11) and her mother. The victim stated a little girl from the neighborhood knocked on her door and when she opened the door the defendant and co-defendants Austin Schnur, Anthony Hardy and Jaylin Spratley pushed their way into the residence. The victim stated while in the residence she told the defendant and co-defendants to leave several times, but they all refused to leave. The victim stated Schnur and Daimonn Cherry grabbed her by the arms and took her into a bedroom, while the Hardy and Spratley followed. The victim stated she began to struggle with them and told them several times to let her go and stop, but to no…show more content… Daimonn follows rules. Daimonn is sometimes subject to appropriate consequences for bad behavior and consistently receives appropriate rewards for good behavior. They always practice good supervision. Nevertheless, his parents clearly disapprove of his behavior. Daimonn's home includes some conflict, but it is well managed. His family provides ongoing opportunities for growth and consistently provides love, caring, and support. Daimonn has a close relationship with his mother and siblings.
