Administrator: Let me first begin by saying Good Morning and welcome. It is my understanding there has been a disagreement regarding the approach that should be used to target the needs of our student base. I am here to provide an opportunity to discuss this matter and come to a resolution. The goal is for us to determine a plan of action that will be effective in the success of students. Mr. Vet would you like to go first?
Mrs. Vet: Prior to purchasing the current textbook a considerable amount of time and energy was placed to assure the correct curriculum was chosen. The textbooks and additional resources are available to service the need of our student base. We carefully made this decision with the input of veteran faculty. The district has spent a large amount of finical resources on the current textbooks which would be a waste if we decided to make changes. I feel we have purchased quality material that is producing results.

Mrs. New: In my experience this year the materials that we are using do not meet the needs of our student body. Based the demographics of the population indicate that the achievement of the students should be in the 90 percentile or above. I feel we are causing a disservice to our student body if we accept 73 percentile of achievement when they can perform far beyond that score. The text should be stimulating their minds not just a memorization course. It is important we show them how they can excel far beyond the current scores. Growth is essential in education along with change.
