3) It is stated in the Constitution that a Deactivated Member must pay off her dues within the first two weeks of deactivation. Failure to do so would thus make you a debtor to Delta Rho. Some of you seemed to think that Deactivating meant you didn't have to pay your dues. Legally, this is not the case. Unlike being as Associate, there is no approval process for Deactivating, which means that no one actively excused your debts.

4) Prior to you leaving the sorority, the CAO that you had elected already charged the dues to your "accounts" (which at that time where really on paper). These charges were never removed, so they never could have been "re-instated". No one has changed the amount of money you owe on paper since before the semester you left. …show more content…
This was done because, a) 3 of the 4 other sororities on campus use Omega-Fi to collect dues, and b) it is much easier to have this company collect dues for us rather than having the CAO continuously call people trying to collect debt. It was not just your accounts turned over to this agency; every single girl who is a current Delta Rho member or who is a debtor to Delta Rho now has their dues handled by this agency (yes, when I do not pay my dues on time, they are the ones who bill me and even report it the Credit Bureau if

As such, the search for the best possible alternative from a large set of such alternatives can be a daunting task. The aim of integrating GIS with Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is to develop a well-defined process that can scan through such extensive fields of choice to arrive at the best possible solution. Goal Programming is one tool (developed in conjunction with MCDM) that can handle a problem with multiple, conflicting and incommensurable alternatives, and this article explains how the loose coupling technique can integrate MCDM with GIS to assist decision making among competing alternatives. As an example, this methodology has been applied for community development purposes in the Hooghly District of West Bengal, India. 1 Background The inclusion of...

The engineering characteristics (ECs) affecting the product performances are designed to match the customer attributes (CAs). However, from the viewpoint of the QFD team, product design processes are performed in imprecise environments, and more than one factor must be taken into account in determining the target levels of ECs, especially the limited resources and increased market competition. This paper presents an imprecise goal programming (GP) approach to...

Quality Management

...Production, Manufacturing, Logistics The relationship between organization strategy, total quality management (TQM), and organization performance––the mediating role of TQM Daniel I. Prajogo a, Amrik S. Sohal b b,* a Bowater School of Management and Marketing, Deakin University, Australia Department of Management, Monash University, P.O. Box 197, Caulfield East, Vic. 3145, Australia Received 9 September 2003; accepted 16 March 2004 Available online 25 June 2004 Abstract The study presented in this paper examines the fit of total quality management (TQM) practices in mediating the relationship between organization strategy and organization performance. By examining TQM in relation to organization strategy, the study seeks to advance the understanding of TQM in a broader context. It also resolves some controversies that appear in the literature concerning the relationship between TQM and differentiation and cost leadership strategies as well as quality and innovation performance. The empirical data for this study was drawn from a survey of 194 middle/senior managers from Australian firms. The analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM) technique by examining two competing models that represent full and partial mediation. The findings indicate that TQM is positively and significantly related to differentiation strategy, and it only partially mediates the relationship between differentiation strategy and three performance measures (product quality, product innovation, and...

Impact of Knowledge Management on Organization Performance

...THE IMPACT OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT ON ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE jeLena RašULa1 vesna BosiLj vUkšić2 Mojca inDiHaR šteMBeRGeR3 a B st R ac t: Knowledge management is a process that transforms individual knowledge into organisational knowledge. The aim of this paper is to show that through creating, accumulating, organising and utilising knowledge, organisations can enhance organisa- tional performance. The impact of knowledge management practices on performance was empirically tested through structural equation modelling. The sample included 329 com- panies both in Slovenia and Croatia with more than 50 employees. The results show that knowledge management practices measured through. information technology, organisa- tion and knowledge positively affect organisational performance. ke ywords: knowledge management maturity, information technology, organisational performance, structural equation modelling, survey research. 1. intRoDUction For many companies, the time of rapid technological change is also the time of incessant struggle for maintaining a competitive advantage. It is obvious that knowledge is slowly becoming the most important factor of production, next to labour, land and capital [39]. Even though some forms of intellectual capital are transferable, internal knowledge is not easily copied. This means that the knowledge anchored in employees’ minds can get lost if they decide to leave the organisation. Therefore, the key objective of management is...

Influence of Home Video on the Young Adults

...CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION 1. Background to the Study Films, generally, serve as a tool for national integration and development. Major types of film are home video, which develop, until now, from what is formerly known as cinema or stage play/drama. As part of mass media, home videos play the important roles of informing, educating, entertaining and transmitting social heritage. Through their educational role, however, home videos concern themselves with evolving a better society by exposing societal ill and wrongs. Since the emergence of home videos, at the turn of the twenty-first century the films industries, and both male and female actors in Nigeria, Nollywood, have considerably influenced the habits, belief systems, style of dressing and other behavioural idiosyncrasies on many Nigerian youths. Thus, one can say, however, that the emergence of home videos have helped to promote the Nigerian cultural heritage; aside this, it has awaken in many youths the Nigerian culture that was once lost during the colonial period. There are also negative effects of home videos on audiences. However, there have been cases where home videos are criticized to the cause for some societal ills. Social critics, who believes in this school of thought says that some antisocial behaviours like violence and extravagant life that many films portrays in their content perceptibly affect the behavior of the audience. Nonetheless, all these sum up to mean that home videos have both positive...

They feature witty, outlandish designs that use intense colors and are youthful, provocative, stylish, and unpredictable. The mission of the IMC campaign is to tie the brand image with creative art in order to tell the brand story, strengthen Swatch‘s brand identity among the target audience (young students or professionals, aged 18-25) globally, and consistently incorporate different and relevant mediums (print ad, website, MTV – user-generated content, and online communities) to reach the target audience. The multi-country marketing analysis of The Swatch Group will aid in developing the IMC strategy and campaign for Swatch‘s CreArt (‗creativity‘ + ‗art‘) Collection in the following three countries: Brazil, Japan and Switzerland. When reading this, please be aware that Swatch did not impose an integrated marketing campaign in Brazil; rather, they only held one event and communicated to customers through Twitter. Therefore, the Brazil section is composed mostly of what The Swatch Group should do in order to meet their objectives. Furthermore, the cultural dimensions and components that will affect...

...burden of diabetes is due to its chronic complications leading to increased morbidity and mortality. The unique combination of various risk factors necessitates research studies to make appropriate risk assessment tools to control this diabetes pandemic. Better understanding of aetio-pathological genetic and environmental factors are suggesting prevention should begin much before the start of disease process and interventions in high-risk subjects alone will not be sufficient. It is necessary to initiate population based programmes for primary prevention of diabetes including a range of activities targeted at different age groups from fetal life to old age. Synchronized and coordinated efforts from public and private sectors are needed to combat this mammoth health and economic issue. Key words: Diabetes, Pakistan, Introduction: Escalation in rates of diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes in Pakistan is posing threats to the economy and quality of life of people due to poor glycemic control and very high rates of complications (1-6). Cost of care is estimated to be very high. Resource constraints society, lack of medical reimbursement and insufficient allocation of health budget are barriers to quality care. Most often the patient is unable to afford the high cost of treatment (7-9). This review was conducted to study research evidence...
