4. Student affairs/faculty/community partners must train students prior to community entry

6. Credit is earned for learning not for service alone
7. Students, the instructor, and the community serve as co-educators

Community Connection Course…show more content… Through this model, students are encouraged to critically process real world issues, reflect on their experiences to heighten their engagement and apply practical application to classroom theory. The student experience will be transformed from merely identifying their personal values, career goals and social responsibilities to practicing all of the aforementioned in a meaningful and deeply impactful way by creating and implementing service projects or conduct research that positively contributes to the community.
