It is one of the world’s largest retailers but it according to the case study amazon has not shown the consistent constant growth that investors have wanted. What is amazon setting out to be? Are they not concerned about retail anymore and worried about selling software now? According to the case study it looks like they have spent aloe tofu time and money investing in there software, in today’s world I think that online viruses and software is a huge part of the online retailing business. Amazon’s approach I feel has gone away from becoming the world’s largest retailer to being the retailer that other companies or business owners use to sell their product and it keeps it safe, hassle free and appropriate free for them. So for example if I was to be a retailer on amazon selling shoes I would feel comfortable knowing that my product would be represented the way I intend it to, it’s safer using amazon and I believe that’s what their approach has been changed to. According to the case study, The Modern Organization in the Global, Web-Based Environment pg. 26, its says that thousands of companies are using amazon for their services. So not only does amazon offer probably some the cheapest prices on product but it’s the services that they offer and extend to companies that can be trusted and are some of...

...evident; it is easier to miss the sometimes surprising moments of humor, but look for them because they give a fuller sense of the man. It was because of my letters that I happened to stumble upon starting to acquire some kind of a homemade education. I became increasingly frustrated at not being able to express what I wanted to convey in letters that I wrote, especially those to Mr. Elijah Muhammad. In the street, I had been the most articulate hustler out there — I had commanded attention when I said something. But now, trying to write simple English, I not only wasn't articulate, I wasn't even functional. How would I sound writing in slang, the way I would say it, something such as "Look, daddy, let me pull your coat about a cat, Elijah Muhammad —" Many who today hear me somewhere in person, or on television, or...

To be honest I do not believe my way of taking notes is the best but it the way or technique that works for me. My note taking skills in the past depending on the class it has helped me but in other cases came back to bite in the rear end. Now I can that it may help in my medical term course. The notes that I do take in med term helps because the instructor diagrams or make put them important terms in a weird sentence or relates it to everyday life. Now going back to when I said that as I write my notes it becomes hard to get everything the teacher is saying and I do miss somethings. But, when it does come to that I either get the rest of the notes from a classmate or at the end of the class I ask the instructor what they meant. I discover missing notes at the end of class or I may even catch the as they happen. But, there have been cases where I thought I had all the notes until I go home and I go to study my notes and I get confused at what I am reading that is also I point I realize I missed notes. ...who sustain traumatic brain injury can experience significant cognitive deficits. These deficits may significantly impair their functioning in the classroom , resulting in in the need for academic and behavioral modifications. Behavioral and social problems can be the direct and indirect result of brain injury. Difficulties in paying attention, staying on task, and predicting the consequences of actions may be associated with behavioral problems. The article goes on to say that children with head-injuries are more likely to experience Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Some indicted that children and adolescents who experience this injury come from the background of (poor family functioning and economical difficulties). While some results may appear quickly after the injury, and other may not come for monthes sometimes years after the injury. However children and adolescents who suffer more severe head injuries tend to develop behavioral difficulties earlier in their course of recovery than do those who suffer a mild to moderate brain injury. Having experiencing this myself I cannot agree with this article even more. At the age of 13 I was pushed out of a car that was moving about 70 miles per-hour down a country road. This left me with a concussion about the size of a softball. I was transported to the Oklahoma city Childrens Hospital, and monatored for several days due to the bleeding and swelling on my brain. Because trust me some hotels have their own codes and some shifts will require you...

...Abortion Case Study (Part Two) Abortion legalization in our society is a social problem. This is classified as a social problem in our society because it affects individuals in our society negatively and is talked about often. There are two claims that I will talk about in this case study, the two are Pro-Life Action League and NARAL Pro-Choice America. Pro-Life Action League suggests that the legalization of abortion is not the right way to handle it and that abortions are considered murders. On the other hand, NARAL Pro-Choice suggests that abortion is a choice that all women should have for themselves. The first I will talk about is the Pro-Life Action League. The big message that they want to get across is that abortion should be considered...

...These situations can and most likely will induce stress on an individual. Stress is defined as a state of negative tension in the emotional well-being of a person. Stress is the process on how we handle and cope with our environment (Myers, 2014). This tension, or stressors, can create anxiety, unintended pressure, and can completely hassle a person’s life. Stress relates to the field of Psychology in that it affects the bodies physical and mental state. Negative stress can cause what experts define as psychophysiological illnesses, which include hypertension and migraines (Myers, 2014). Negative stress can also be more taxing on other physical ailments with certain diseases. Throughout the course of my life I’ve had many ups and many downs. There have been situations that I have been in control of, and others that I have not and the stress of these situations has affected my life in different ways. The first stressor in my life I would say would have to be the biggest thing out of my control. February 14, 2011 I was sent to the hospital with a horrible headache. Eventually, my vision became impaired and an MRI and Spinal tap revealed the diagnoses of Multiple Sclerosis. I had never heard of this disease or known anyone who was affected by it. Since being diagnosed, I was immediately thrown into a position that was unknown and uncomfortable. The biggest stress about this disease is the unpredictability factor. I do not know how my specific case will progress and...

...Something struck me some time back when I was reading an article forwarded by a friend on Whatsapp in which the author has drawn the attention towards a a new kind of problem. The author spoke about a boy from Trichy, a city in India, who had settled in USA after his studies and didn't have any feelings for either his country or even his native city for that matter where he grew up and studied. In fact, he had no childhood memories and he wouldn't even come to see his ailing parents. When the author was contacted by the father of the boy to reach out to his son, the author tried to connect with the son, and at the request of the author, the son did come to see his parents but he didn’t stay for more than 5 days with his parents and went back to USA, the place where he liked to stay now. Now, this is not what struck me as this story of ignorance towards parents by their children is something that we hear quite often these days. Instead, what struck me was the son's reason for doing so. When asked by the author, son stated that he does respect his parents and wanted to do things for them but the connect between him and his parents was missing somewhere. He said that his childhood was all about studies and nothing else. There were no childhood memories from vacations, holidays or even festivals, he could only think of studies from his childhood. In fact, all that he could remember about his parents from his childhood was that he was always forced by them to keep studying...
