Diabetics
Diabetics take insulin to break down the sugars into energy from the food they consume. If they dont take their insulin the body wont break down the foods energy and this will cause the body to become tired, dehydrated and can in serious cases result in a coma.

A DIABETIC MENU

Starters
· vegatable soup
Main
· Chicken with meterdian vegtables served with new potatoes
Dessert
· blueberry muffins with with a sugar free cream
Drinks
· Diet coke
· Red or white wine
· water

Reasons why i have chosen this menu for a diabetic.
In this menu i have tried to use as little sugar as possible and even given a sugar free substitute such as the ice- cream and the diet cokes. The menu aslo gives protien and youre five a day vegetable.
Good parts of a controled diet for a diabetic
· Controlled blood sugar/insulin
· Reduction and/or elimination of medications
· Weight management
· Controlled cholesterol levels
· Controlled blood pressure
· Less likely to skip meals
· Proper portions
· Less frustration about what to eat

Bad pats of the diet.
· the more insulain you take the more weight you can gain
· it can become frustrating for a diabetc to be able to control his or her sugar levels when eating out as not all places have a wide selection food sugar and low cal meals
· missing out on the correct ammount of sugar levels

How to replace any missing vitimins or sugars.
Diabetics take insulin to break down the sugars into ennergy from the food they consume if they dont do take their insulin the body wont break down the food into the ennergy they need this will be lost out of the body and will cause them to become tired, dyhydrated and can in serious cases result in a coma.
