...Flathead Catfishing Flathead catfishing is frequently seen in the United States. Why! Because flathead catfish are a native species of the waters there and are popular among the masses as game fish and food. Initially, Flathead catfish dwelled in the Mississippi River and its outlets, but later it found its way to the slow moving waters of the nation. Today, flathead catfish can be found in big rivers, streams, lakes and ponds across the entire United States. Deep waters are their favorite hideouts where they take cover under fallen logs and rocks. Flatheads derive their name from the shape of their heads which is slightly long and flat. They also have flat oval shaped eyes and a bigger lower jaw that sticks out past the upper jaw. Mostly brown and yellow with spots, they come in all sizes. In rivers and lakes forty to fifty pound flatheads are normally found and caught, but there have also been reports of...

...they all contain diets that require specific nutrients in order to carry out healthy life. When identifying fish one must look for significant traits or behaviors that the fish may contain. A carp is identified by the single barbel located at each corner of the mouth. Meanwhile, the mirror carp can be spotted by their large scales that can flake off. Determining the difference between the bullhead and catfish may seem a little tricky, but if one looks close enough, the differences can easily be found. The bullhead has a visible rounded tail, and the catfish has a forked tail. Not only are fish identified by the shapes of their tails, but also by the shapes of their mouths. For instance a largemouth bass would be found with a large upper jaw that extends past the eye of the fish, and the buffalo contains a downturned mouth with thick lips. Fish can also...

...through the time reference off. I honestly did not think of this film being set in the future until further research on the film was done. With all that being said, this film is unique and shows a prediction of what could happen. Our Siri for Apple and Cortana on the Windows products could very well be compared to Samantha. I think the hidden message or theme of this movie is the problems that technology addiction will have on the future needs to be controlled. Relating to another text this film could almost be a mash up of a Catfish and My Strange Addictions episode. The MTV program Catfish is about social media relationships that either turn out to be fake profile users or the person they thought they have been falling in love with. When Samantha reveals to Theodore she talks to 8316 other people and is in love with 641 of them it compares to the reveal of a fake profile user that talks to many people as well. On My Strange Addictions odd addictions that real people have are documented. I remember in one episode a lady was obsessed with eating toilet paper she would carry a roll in her purse and rip off sheets, pull it apart and let it sit in her mouth before digesting it. The obsession to always need Samantha is similar it is a genuinely weird concept because Theodore compassionately and whole heartedly is in love with this voice from his computer. Samantha is his toilet paper. This film as the professor said “is not one to watch with your grandma or a 5 year old.” This film is...

...Full Length Research paper Effects of feeding frequency on growth, feed efficiency and economic viability of rearing African catfish (Clarias gariepinus, Burchell 1822) fingerlings and juveniles A. Z. Aderolu*, B. M. Seriki, A. L. Apatira and C. U. Ajaegbo Aquaculture Nutrition Unit, Department of Marine Sciences, University of Lagos, Akoka-Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. Accepted 16 December, 2009 Feeding frequency effect on growth performance, feed utilization and economic viability of Clarias gariepinus fingerlings and juveniles were studied under natural photoperiods of 12/12 h light/dark cycle using a complete random design. Triplicate group of 10 fish with an initial mean weight of 8.5 ± 0.1 g and 34.3 ± 0.1 g respectively per tank (measuring 52 x 33.5 x 21 cm). A commercial feed (COPPENS) with crude protein of 42% and ether extract 12% was fed for 8 weeks over four feeding frequencies studied (once, twice, thrice and four times). Mean weight gain, relative growth rate and the specific growth rate were all significantly different (P < 0.05) across feeding levels except at thrice and four times feeding levels. The feed conversion ratio was lowest on three times a day feeding level both for the juvenile and fingerling (0.66 and 0.73, respectively). Although net profit value, in both juvenile and fingerling group are not significantly different, the investment cost analysis and the gross profit between fish fed thrice and four times are equally not significantly...

Write about Facebook, other social networking sites and their impact on society.(good and bad) Throughout history we have gone through multiple revolutions, like the Agricultural Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and now the Knowledge or Information Revolution. But has the Knowledge Revolution paved the way for another revolution? It seems, more now than ever, that we are in a Communication Revolution. What with new communication technologies being created and released, almost habitually, our society finds it easier to communicate with the person of their choice at any time of the day, through whichever communicational means fits best, and no matter their location around the globe. That it is so is true, even more so now than ever through new social media sites, like Facebook. The focus of this paper identifies some of the capabilities that many of the most popular social media sites continuously update, along with the impact (both positive and negative) social media has had on society. Before the major technological advances in communication methods, people were able to contact one another either by phone or by mail. With such inventions like email, communication has only gotten faster and easier, as time goes by. Now, social networking sites continuously release updates that not only visually enhance the overall look of their website, but improve and even increase...

...Fish are very beneficial to humans, they are now known to serve many more purposes for humans. Fish skin is found to contain wound healing properties and several beneficial antimicrobials. This is due to their highly evolved immune systems which are starting to become discovered. The nile tilapia, catfish and snakehead murrels are known to possess both the properties stated. Fish skin in general contains omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids along with several other elements which could be used as a skin graft in order to decrease inflammation and time needed to heal a wound. There is new research on sharks and how they evolved to have an immunity against cancer causing genes. Moreover, this research could be used to better the human race and...

...1. Ramada Demonstrates Its Personal Best In 1996 the latest D. K. Shifflet survey of customer satisfaction in the hospitality industry showed mid-tier hotels continuing their downward trend in perceived customer service, reflected by more and more respondents giving ratings on customer service in the 7 or lower range on Shifflet’s 10-point scale. While Ramada’s satisfaction rates held steady, “It was only a matter of time before we experienced the problem,” says Tim Pigsley, director of operations for Ramada Franchise Systems (RFS). Shifflet research highlighted three critical areas for study that could influence customer satisfaction: hiring (finding the best people to deliver Ramada’s brand of exceptional service), training (giving employees the tools to deliver exceptional service), and motivation (providing the impetus for Ramada employees to deliver exceptional service). Unlike some of its competitors, RFS is a totally franchised system. In such an environment, not only must headquarters contend with the variable human factor of all service operations, but additionally, RFS must contend with differing “exceptional service” standards among owners of the nearly 900 Ramada properties. “Due to the franchised system of property management, we needed for each management team and each employee to be committed to the change—to buy in to any new program—whatever shape it would take,” explains Pigsley. “We wanted to learn and borrow from the best so we started with Disney.
