Concussions are one of the damaging sport injuries that you can obtain. They make you feel dizzy, confused, and fatigue. You may even sleep for a few days, you also start to forget very easy task. Things such as the kind of car you have or the day you were born. I have had multiple concussions in my lifetime, all of them while playing football, I understand that football is America’s number one pastime sport and people enjoy it. But is the sport becoming too dangerous for our children to play with their delicate and developing brain? Concussions are a very hot topic right now in the world of football; many argue that the only way to prevent them is to terminate the sport completely. The NFL argue that there are many other way to prevent the injuries, such better head gear and penalties for head shots while playing. Still many concussions continue to happen, for example when the Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly came over the middle and hit a ballcarrier head first. He suffered a grade 1 concussion. Now I believe that no matter the ruler or amount of head gear the players have on concussions will always be in existence in the game of Football. Researchers with the Department of Veterans Affairs and Boston University have now determined that the rare disease known as CTE are in 96 percent of NFL players that they’ve examined and in 79% of players.
