* The audience of the passage is directed toward the business employees and the appliance dealer itself. * The general attitude toward the subject would likely be uncertain and would require a document with more detailed information. * The audience needs to know a more in depth schedule on what is going to take place on the day of initiation of legal collection procedures

* The general public is the key audience to the advertisement. There is a large segment being addressed here which conveys the message toward many different people * The audience’s attitude should be very open to what the advertisement has to offer. * The audience needs to know a lot more of its features. Just because there is an advertisement for a product doesn’t mean a picture will sell itself. The public should know how much the product is going for, competitor’s prices, and how it would benefit a customer’s needs.

4-23 a) Direct approach would be used since the owner of the car dealer is likely to be positive towards my concern and willing to help. b) Direct approach would be best because I would not reach out to a professor who I thought wouldn’t get me a positive recommendation in the first place. c) Indirect approach would be used since we would be turning down the applicant from the job request just be sure to end with best of luck as you begin a new search. d) I would use the direct approach even though it is a negative message because with the size of the plant, employees would expect it to a huge cost to the company and wouldn’t come off as unexpected or so resistance if 78 degrees is still comfortable to work in.
