In ¨One for the Road¨ by Stephen King, Tookey is an example of the wise elder stereotype because he was the oldest there and had a lot of knowledge in his old age. In the story ¨One for the Road¨ it is about a man who walks in a bar right before closing claiming he broke down six miles down the road. The story takes place in Maine in winter during a blizzard. They find out his family is in a car in a blizzard at a place full of vampires. When the man first walked in the bar he collapsed and Tookey went up to check on him and noticed he had the first stages of frostbite and needed to be warmed up.
