Demonstrative Communication can be defined as the act of sending and receiving messages.
When communicating a message the process is done either by speaking or by signals, writing or body language. Demonstrative communication is sending and receiving messages without words (Nayab, 2010)
Nonverbal communication includes body language, facial expressions, hand gestures, or the way you look at a person and verbal communication is oral or written. This is done through emails, letters, and newspaper articles school or business reports.
Demonstrative Communication reinforces verbal communication; an example would be the recent shooting of the teenager Travon in Florida. In response to the entire world verbally speaking the wearing of hooded shirts and sweaters by the public is a non verbal response that reinforces the verbal speaking.
Another example would be within an organization, the higher the position will determine most often where the office is located usually on higher floors in the building and also they have larger offices. Demonstrative communication is this case would be that, Mr. Jones is the CEO, his office is on the 17th floor and the furniture and decorations speak to his position.
Demonstrative communication can prove to be effective as well as ineffective, positive and negative. My granddaughter is six and she tends to watch what I do and that is what she wants to do.
