...The chinchilla cage is highly essential to make your dog happy and healthy. The cage should be correct in every senses and measures. The initial thing to understand is definitely that the chinchillas are purely exotic pets. Chinchillas aren't at all related to hamsters, rabbits and ferrets. These pets are in fact like prima donnas and need really particular cage arrangements. From internal to exterior, size and shape of the cage issues a lot. It really is true that the larger the cage the better the chinchilla will experience. If the cage is definitely small in size your dog will be highly susceptible to behavioral issues, and...

...Institution Report from Interview Work at an airline calls for undivided attention, focus and stamina. Top executives find themselves torn between balancing work and family. While work is important in ensuring employees meet their family needs, it has become increasing important for senior executives to try to strike a balance between the two (Masuda & Chinchilla, 2010). Ability to ensure both sides are well catered for requires careful examination of ones conduct and building a clear time frame. Success may be achieved at workplace through putting more efforts and time. This means less time and personal touch with family members, which may be harmful to the wellbeing of all parties. In the long run, it does more harm than good. Maintaining a balance between work and family is crucial as it will ensure support from family members as one pursues their goals at the working place. Undergoing a thorough self transformation to achieve a win-win situation will entail time adjustment, more efforts to complete task within given time frame so that time to see ones family is available and is not disrupted (Masuda & Chinchilla, 2010). Not only will the top executive ensure strict adherence to the schedule but will also need to ensure the entire labor force is moving in the same direction, since failure to do so will mean their family time will be consumed solving institutional problems. An interview with the Chief executive officer of Alaska airline revealed that the...

...Outdoor Education remains my favorite field trip of all time due to all of the memorable activities we experienced. For instance, I was able to touch and hold a wide variety of animals that I had never seen until I visited their science center. One animal was a blue tongue skink that reminded me of leather because it was dry and smooth. The chinchilla was also smooth, yet its fur was also the softest that I had ever felt. This goes to show that one can find similarities in unusual places. I would have never guessed that a reptile and a mammal would have anything in common, but their bodies were pleasing to the touch in different ways! In addition, I also was able to scale to great heights when I visited the high ropes course deep in the forest. Once I had my safety harness and helmet, I surged upward on ladders and nets. The nets were not as challenging as the balance beam which turned out to be my favorite because of the patience and determination that were needed. I realize now that even something difficult can be fun. I hope to use this thought in other areas of my life because now I might achieve even more than before. Finally, I loved splashing around Lake Peters in the canoe with my partner. The direction on how to hold the paddle and how to steer were not that hard, but actually doing it on the lake was difficult. It became less difficult with the help of my partner because we had to work together to be successful. This means that...

...Nathan Story 13 September, 2012 History 262 Section 14 Columbian Exchange Amerindian peoples were dying from new disease such as the smallpox, yellow fever and malaria as the uninvited Europeans invaded their land. The isolation of the Indians from the rest of the world made their immunity to new diseases very weak. The invasion known as the beginning of the Columbian Exchange brought an epidemic upon Native Americans along with new species of plants, animals and technologies. Christopher Columbus arrived in the main land of America in 1492 by mistake. He planned to find a route to India, but has mistakenly arrived to the shore of America, and as a result, he called the people of the new land “Indians” as we still know them today. This was just one many voyages that tied the New world of America to the rest of the world. As the epidemic swept the new world, so did vast exchanges of plants that altered the diets Amerindians and the rest of the world, especially Europe. The Indians were introduced to olives, grapes, rice, sugar, onions and many other crops. Pigs, cattle sheep and rabbits were introduced; however, the horse had the greatest positive impact on the Native peoples. The...

A bath for me typically consists of rolling and flipping around in fine pumice dust for 15-20 minutes. My baths keep my thick fur silky smooth and are very entertaining to watch. Herbivore would be an accurate work when describing my eating habits. I enjoy eating grass, roots, seeds and fruits. As much as I love fruit, I have to limit myself when eating it because the natural sugars upset my stomach causing me to get sick if I eat too much. However, as a house pet, I am sometimes unable to get all the nutrients I require, and am forced to eat rabbit or guinea pig pellets as a substitute. A chinchilla is what I am. I enjoy cooler climates and eating my alfalfa grass. I am most relaxed in my weekly dust bath. With fur as soft and thick as mine, humans love to make coats and things out of my friends and I. However, to some I make a loving and adorable pet. ...

...Ian McPherson 11, 16, 2012 Violence Surrounding Marijuana The violence that surrounds marijuana is a major concern for a lot of people, some people believe that it can be changed by legalizing it and therefore taking away the drug cartels number one source of income. The U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy ... says that more than 60 percent of the profits reaped by Mexican drug lords are derived from the exportation and sale of cannabis to the American market (Armentano2). It is ridiculous to think that the United States can put out a statistic like this and ignore the fact that if they legalized the drug there would be less violence because there would be no point for Mexican drug cartels to try and smuggle the drug into the U.S. In the article “Blame Prohibition, Not Pot Smokers for Violence in Mexico”, published by AlterNet.org, Tony Newman tells us how the people who run the “Just Say No” campaign against drugs have a new scheme in which they plan to blame people who smoke pot for the violence in Mexico. They are hoping to stop younger people from smoking marijuana if they associate it with the murder of people by the drug cartels in Mexico. There are a few problems with these campaigns: They are inaccurate in some cases, and downright dishonest in others.Office of National Drug Control Policy It is disingenuous to connect the average American's marijuana consumption to the horrific violence of Mexico's drug war. The average pot smoker's growing and...

...latitudes. The alpine occurs at almost any latitude, and can be found at elevations of 10,000 feet and above. Because of it’s high elevation the alpine Tundra has a similar climate to the Arctic Tundra. Examples of alpine tundras include: Himalayas, the Rocky Mountains, and the Alaska Range Alpines tundra occurs on mountains where trees cannot grow in high latitudes. The growing season is about 180 days per year. Mountain goats, sheer, marmots, and birds feed on low-lying plants and insects. The alpines can be cold and dry with a short growing season. Some well-known places that are considered alpine tundra are the Himalayas, the Rocky Mountains, and the Alaska Range. Some of the animals that inhabit the alpines include, mountain goats, Chinchillas, and yachts. While not exclusive to the tundra, it is also common to see the Northern Lights . This includes Finland, Iceland, as well as Alaska. They are referred to as “aurora borealis” in the northern hemisphere, and “aurora australis” in the southern hemisphere. North Lights can usually be seen during the winter season, and are a consequence of the gaseous particles in the atmosphere with charged particles that are emitted from the Sun. The most common color for the phenomenon is yellowish-green oxygen particles that are produced 60 miles in the atmosphere. In high altitudes, all-red auroras are produced by oxygen particles at the heights of 200 miles. These can be seen in tundras located in Finland. The arctic tundra is cold...

...honey, a shelter!” she remarked in a cheery tone as we drove. “Didn’t you say the other day that you wanted to get in some volunteering time?” “Mmmerph.” It was too hot for coherent sentences. “We should check it out; we have time.” “Hmng,” I grunted back. The shelter was small, but the chilled gush of wind that greeted us as we first entered the building made the place as welcoming as home. My mom made a bee-line toward the receptionist desk; however, my gaze was detoured to the left where the sounds of muffled squeaking instantly caught my attention. While my mom was getting updated on the infinite list of complications that accompanied the process of applying at a shelter, I inspected the room. To my shock, it was full of cages of chinchillas, guinea pigs, a ferret, and a few birds. I didn’t even know that shelters had these kinds of animals. “...we have this room dedicated to rodents and other pocket-pets,” the receptionist was explaining to my mom. She was probably talking to me too, but my attention had left her and resided upon a familiar-looking cage on the far end. In it, I recognized a long, pink tail dangling from a tiny hammock at the top. “... although most people usually come for the dogs or cats. Anyways, was there anything in particular you wanted to look at?” I pointed at the cage, “um, could I see that one? P-please.” The woman nodded and she led us toward it, picking up a file of paper resting on the top. “This is Lily,” she explained, sorting through the...

...With the rapid development of modern industry, the demand of energy is constantly ascending. It is urgent to explore new energies to meet the requirement. Coal seam gas which has widely been used in industry is considered as an new energy. Therefore, coal seam gas is playing a vital role in many countries. For instance, coal seam gas industry can provide outstanding economic revenue for Australia (Hamawand , Yusaf, & Hamawand, 2013, p. 552). However, the extraction of coal seam gas encounters opposition because it would bring serious contamination to farmland and environment . This essay will outline the merits of exploiting the coal seam gas which may replace the conventional energy and to reduce contamination. It will also discuss the negative effects of developing the coal seam gas industry on farming and the environment. Coal seam gas is the substaintial energy that can substitute the traditional energy and decrease environmental pollution. First of all, the refining of coal seam gas can lower the environmental pollution. For example, the new Kenya water treatment plant can help changing coal seam gas water to recycle, and thus could reduce the water pollution (GE; advanced technology to produce beneficial water from booming coal seam gas industry in Australia, 2011). Furthermore, the development of coal seam gas can decrease the air pollution. If the discharge of greenhouse gases were limited from burning fossil fuel, the extensive disposal of coal seam gas for coal...

...AMERICAN PAULOWNIA ASSOCIATION VOL. 15 NO. 2 SEPTEMBER 2006 PAULOWNIA IS NATIVE TO NORTH AMERICA "A Record of Paulownia in the Tertiary of North America" American Journal of Botany 48(2); 175-179 Illus. 1961 Charles J. Smiley Macalester College; St. Paul, Minnesota Reviewed by Ralph Donaldson First, the writer is incompetent as a reviewer of a juried paper on paleobotany in a scientific journal. He is neither paleontologist nor botanist. He is a farmer. The language of the paper being reviewed is alien to him. This attempt is to extract some bits of information that may be of use to growers, promoters, and protectors of Paulownia. First, some definitions. Pre-history has been divided into periods for convenience of study. Often the divisions used correspond to geologic changes-changes being a relative term since many of the "changes" occurred over many millions of years. There have been several such schemes of dividing up the past. As a matter of fact, the Tertiary Period referred to in this 1961 article is part of an obsolete scheme. The Tertiary Period in this article went from about 66 million years ago to about 26 million years ago. Fossils attributed to this time are found in rock strata that are associated with geologic events that can be tied to this period of pre-history. Fossils themselves are rocks; rocks whose formation was influenced by the remains of living matter that was present during their formation. Animal bones buried under sediment eventually-over...

...leadership role and major portfolio in politics has increased worldwide. Take the example of Chancellor of Germany, Angela D. Merkel, now running her third term in office. Since elected on 22nd November 2005, she is the first female elected chancellor for Germany. She has helped Germany weathered the financial woes, which has crippled some of her neighboring countries. There is clear evidence that feminism has led to a positive change as her presence involvement and contribution are now widely accepted and appreciated in the political arena encompassing many nations not just in Europe but also the rest of the world. Other prominent women of huge nations with sizeable populations include President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil and President Laura Chinchilla of Costa Rica, all democratically elected.
