Chincoteague vs. The Great Smokey Mountains- Which place is the better vacationing spot? Vacationing is one of my favorite things to do. However, I have many favorite places to go. Two of my top favorite places are Chincoteague and The Great Smoky Mountains. Chincoteague has beautiful sunrises and sunsets along with a beach. The Great Smoky Mountains has gorgeous leaves and mountain tops that are breathtaking. So which one of these is the better vacationing place? There are a lot of people at both, as they are both beautiful places to visit. Did you know that last year the Great Smoky Mountains had over 11 million visitors? Chincoteague is an island with wild ponies and all flat. The Great Smoky Mountains is surrounded by woods and has plenty of mountain peaks. They both are beautiful places to visit. Chincoteague greets you every morning with sunshine and the sounds of seagulls. The G.S.M (Great Smoky Mountains) takes a while to get bright but has a stunning view from the top of the mountains. They both have bodies of water in them. Chincoteague is surrounded by water, but also has a beach and a bay. The Great Smoky Mountains have many spectacular waterfalls and rivers. The animals in Chincoteague and The Great Smoky Mountains are diverse too. In the Great Smoky Mountains, there are deer, elk, wild turkeys, black bears, and otters. In Chincoteague live the wild ponies, horseshoe crabs, snow geese, and egrets. The wildlife at either place is amazing. The call of an elk has no comparison, just like seeing the wild ponies is an awe-inspiring
