This is a group assignment. You will be allocated to a group of three. The lecturer will randomly select three (3) members to form a group. You are to complete the tasks step by step as the following;
I. This assignment involves investigating and researching an area of computing and information technology (CIT) in the workplace. You are to identify an organization and its activities.
II. Propose a scenario for the investigation and elaborate how this scenario is currently benefiting from using Computers and Information Technology. It is important to elaborate in detail the CIT functionality, advantages, disadvantages, and impact of the technology in the organization.
III. In your researched area of computing and information technology, identify and discuss the similarities and differences of the scenarios with the materials covered in this lecture module (choose any three lectures such as Internet Application, Human Aspect, Ethical, Security, Enterprise Computing, Mobile Computing or Multimedia). Each member of the group is required to choose one topic. As coverage of the topic Enterprise Computing is extensive, two members from the group may share this topic. However, you must ensure separation of discussion on the materials selected to confirm that there are no overlapping materials being discussed between the 2 team members. Otherwise marks awarded will be divided between the 2 team members. IV. Provide recommendations/solutions to overcome any computing and information technology problems in the scenario or enhance the current situation in your researched area of the organization.
This assignment tests the ability of students to apply and practice the knowledge gained as a result of studying this module. The students should attempt to conduct this exercise in as realistic a manner as possible, consistent with actual industry practices and issues. Evaluation will take into consideration the effort and initiative shown by the student in putting in their best attempt and the level of commitment shown.
The format of the report must contain the following:
1. Cover Page

6. Main Body 1. A current scenario (discussion on how Computers and Information Technology are valuable to the organization). 2. Functionality (discussion on how the systems function/processes). 3. Advantages (discussion on how CIT assist the organization). 4. Disadvantages (discussion on the drawbacks/flaws of CIT towards the organization). 5. Impact of the technology (discussion on how the technology changes the organization upon implementation). 6. Identify and discuss the similarities and differences (discussion on similarities and differences with any three topics covered in this module. 7. Provide recommendations/proposals (discussion on how to solve any computing and information problems in the scenario or enhance the current situation).
7. Conclusion – Must not contain any references. The conclusion is all about the writer’s idea on the topic. The conclusion is NOT the same as the abstract.
