...Clara’s day The process of aging is a very common theme. Sadly, everything must age. Food, puppies, children, etc. My niece is about 6 years old right now, and I would absolutely love if she could be at this age forever. But growing up is a part of life and there is nothing I can do to stop that. When we grow up, we have to tackle a lot of problems. It could be anything from heartbreak to dealing with annoying people. We’re all dealing with teenage problems - and so is Clara from Clara’s day! In my school there is a lot of attention seeking people. There is for example the girls who always pushes their breasts to the limit. Clara Tilling is 15 (and a half) years old. And she would be known as ‘one-of-the-attention-seeking-people’ if she went to my school naked. And from my perspective, I would agree with most of the people. But what Clara did, is a cry for help! And she didn’t get the help she needed. The reason behind everything is because she needed attention. Attention from her mother. She hoped that her mother would react otherwise than she did. Because when Clara gave her mother the letter the Head wrote, she said: “Clara, I simply do not believe it! Isn’t she most incredible girl! Guess what she did! She took off all her clothes in school” This is not a common way to react as a parent. I think my mother would barely even talk to me again if I did something like that. And the way her mother reacted really hurt Clara. She would have preferred if her mother...

...Clara is a smart girl at the age of 15. One day Clara took of all her clothes in school assembly. She did this, for what at the time seemed like no particular reason at all. But later on we find out that she lives in a home where the mom has a boyfriend, which she spends most of her time with. Because of that, the mom doesn’t really pay any attention to Clara. So she feels somewhat offended by this, and chooses to strip down in the school. This is of course an act of extremism and, even though the author tries to keep the suspicions down, we notice that there’s something wrong in the household she lives in. We also sense a kind of strained relationship between Clara and Stan. She’s supposedly mad at Stan because of all the attention he’s getting, or he might actually be sexually abusing her. I know this is a strange thing to say, but when you hear them conversing. You might know why I’m thinking like I do. Just touching him makes her shiver. When we hear her mom laughing over the attention craving act Clara performed earlier, we finally understand that Clara want her mom to be concerned about what she’s doing. I mean they can’t even have a normal conversation, and the mother shows no interest at all in changing that. Just look at the scene where she returns from school and the mother just asks if there’s any news, and when Clara says no, she doesn’t dig any deeper. 1. What did Clara do and how did she do it? Clara stripped off in the assembly hall in front of the whole...

Her naked walk stops when she reach her own formroom where she puts a science overall at her naked body. Afterward she talks with the head about the incident. The head decides to write a letter to Clara's parents. After the episode Clara react like nothing ever had happened. But a few days later her parents receive the letter from Clara's school. But the mother do not become angry or sad, she begins to laugh, and then describe Clara's youth. She explains, to her boyfriend Stan that Clara used to be a prude, and that she is modest. In the end of the story, when the mother and Stan is driving towards their work, sits Clara at the table, where she begins to cry. I would like to take a look at atmosphere in this specific family. Clara's parents are divorced and she lives with her mother and this Stan. You could use many different words for the atmosphere, some of them would be Superficial and tense. The mother and Stan do not act like grown ups, or like normal parents would do, when their child strips in front of the entire school, they just make fun of her! And they do not even ask her if something is wrong. And Stan is not a father figure for Clara, He walks around in the house all most naked, and he gets to close, you could...

These people come together from all walks of life in order to help those less fortunate or those who have been over-taken by disaster. There are five key service areas in which the Red Cross provides support; disaster relief, supporting America's Military families, lifesaving blood, health and safety services, and International services (Red Cross, 2013). Since being founded in1881 by Clara Barton, the Red Cross has been a consistent lifeline for those in need both in America and around the world (Red Cross, 2013). For example, throughout many major disasters such as tornados, hurricanes, floods, and many other chaotic disasters, American Red Cross makes it possible for families to access a database and post their name and a message which then pushes out to Facebook and twitter letting other family members know they are ok. As a...

...Clara Barton, the founder of the Red Cross, is seen as an “angel of the battlefield”. But does she truly fit the title that was bestowed upon her? When you look deeper into her story, and all the things she has done to help soldiers in fighting times, she is one hundred percent worthy of her given title. Her upbringing was mainly taught by her father, Captain David Barton, while her mother was the type to not strongly get involved in strict around the clock discipline. Clara claimed, "My mother, like the sensible women that she was, seemed to conclude that there were plenty of instructors without her.
