SEARCH ENGINES ADVERTISING

Fundamental change of Consumer Behavior * ZMOT – nowadays, when consumers want to purchase a product, they will search it online, going to store is not the only option. So the implication to the brand is that brands must make content ready for consumers to search, but how? * Search is the way in – 73% of users start their digital journey with “search”

What is a Search Engine? * It is an internet-based tool that searches an index of documents for a particular term, phrase or text specified by the user – commonly refers to large web-based search engines that search through billions of pages on the internet * It is where consumers search for particular terms and it shows the websites that are relevant * Common characteristics: * Spider, indexer, database, algorithm * Find matching documents and display them according to relevance * Frequent updates to documents searched and ranking algorithm * Strive to produce “better”, more relevant results for online users

EXAMPLE: GOOGLE * Dominating the market – 5.7 million searches opposed to 2 million Yahoo searches. This is because Google has done a lot of work before the mobile trend started. They optimized their pages to be mobile-friendly, so they captured a lot of mobile traffic when it became trendy. * How Google Works? * Google bots are sent to all different websites in the word through the HTML links. They will index everything on the website once they reach the site, such as key terms, page title, related content etc. * Sites will have METATAG, which are highlighted phrases and words with descriptions behind that Google bots

...reading binary. Using a 7-segment display we are able to achieve that by converting the BCD value into a 7 bit output. The 7-segment display has 7 LEDs and a certain amount of voltage triggers each of the 7 segments to produce a decimal number. Procedure 1. Create a truth table for your 4 bit input and the corresponding output necessary to light the proper segments of the display. For example, if the input is represented by WXYZ and the output is identified as ABCDEFG then if the input is 0000, all outer LEDs should be lit while the middle LED should be off. Once you create the rows in a truth table for the other 9 combinations, find the function for each segment. 2. Depending on whether you are dealing with more 0s or 1s, choose NAND or AND gates to implement each segment function. 3. Wire the input DIP switches to the decoder input. Note that you have 2 3x8 decoders. You will need to use the inputs and enable lines to combine them in order to implement these 7 functions. 4. Wire the NAND or AND gates to the proper outputs of the decoders in order to implement the functions for each segment. 5. Wire the outputs of the gates to the proper pin on the 7-segment display (refer to the datasheet for the 7-segment display you are using and remember to use a resistor instead of a jumper. 6. Attach 5V to both common anode pins of your 7-segment display (refer to the datasheet for the 7-segment display you are using). 7. Demonstrate number 0-9...

Quiktrip in Emerging Markets

...3/4/14 Business in Global Environments QuikTrip in China Many countries in Asia have seen tremendous economic growth since the 1990’s. One country in particular stands out above the rest: China. The economy of China is the fastest growing consumer market in the world. It has also grown into the world’s second largest economy by nominal GDP and purchasing power parity behind only the United States. This tremendous growth has created millions of jobs in China and has transformed one of the poorest nations into one of the wealthiest. China is also the world’s largest country with over one billion people. The Chinese people are flocking to massive cities such as Shanghai and Beijing to take advantage of all the new jobs. This large growth in major cities along with an increase in jobs has created a huge demand for products the Chinese can now afford. Foreign companies have taken advantage of this growth and have moved into China to begin selling their products. Nike, Apple, IBM, Microsoft, and many others have increased their profits enormously since establishing themselves in China. The great demand in China has even attracting small businesses to explore the option of selling their product there. One company that would do well in China is QuikTrip. QuikTrip or QT is a Tulsa, Oklahoma based chain of convenience stores. Its locations are primarily found in the Midwestern and Southern states. QT grows annually and currently has 678 locations in the Continental United States. QT...

... Business Software Photography Utility software How to Encrypt Your Windows PC More Stories in this Series Security software Business security , Encryption , file management, encryption How to Use BitLocker to Encrypt Your Hard Drive By Eric Geier, PCWorld Oct 26, 2011 7:00 PM e-mail print Even without knowing your Windows password, intruders can easily gain access to files and passwords stored by Windows and other programs on your computer. They can do this by booting into their own operating system (Windows or Linux) from a special disc or USB flash drive. After doing so, they can access your hard drives just as you can when you're logged into Windows. The only way to protect your data completely is by using encryption. You can encrypt select files, but to protect your system files and saved passwords, you must encrypt your entire hard drive. This operation takes more time and effort than encrypting select files does, but it offers more security--and it's great for laptops and netbooks that can easily go missing. If your computer is running the Ultimate or Enterprise edition of Windows 7 or Vista, you can use Microsoft’s included BitLocker feature to encrypt your entire drive. BitLocker offers protection for all of your personal files and documents, as well as for all of the system files and cached or saved passwords on your drive. Though Microsoft includes BitLocker with these two editions of Windows, the...

...however, the three most common operating systems in place today are MS Windows 10, iOS 9.x and Android 6.0. There are well-defined positives and negatives around each platform that must be carefully reviewed prior to making a decision. As operating system selection is primary to device selection, it is critical that this step in the selection criteria is well thought out. When reviewing operating systems, it is important to keep in mind the initial criteria of this research. Selecting an operating system for an enterprise-based medical device is quite different than selecting an operating system and device for personal use. While the Apple iOS and Google Android OS are widely used, they lack the maturity of key features found in enterprise-class systems, such as multi-user access per device, enterprise security, and native device management. Third party solutions (Mobile Data Management) can provide some of these features to the Android and iOS platforms at additional cost and a lower level of integration. The Windows OS and its established network and...
