...Club IT Part One XBIS/219 04/28/13 Kimberly Wheeler Club IT Part One Downtown is welcoming a new businesse. Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada, business partners, own and manage a music venue located in the downtown area. With plenty of music and nightclub experiences, they decided to open their own nightclub called “Club IT.” With an exciting start with remodeling, live bands, and a live DJ, Ruben and Lisa realize that the information management has been their down fall. The mission of Club IT is to have their customers to enjoy their stay and night with fun and music. With the primary focus clientele of business people, students, tourists, and most important community people who love to meet regularly at club IT, Ruben and Lisa wants to suit the lifestyle of many. Club IT will have to develop a data processing plan that will be able to meet the needs of Club IT, employees, customers, as well as their own. The decision to hire someone in the area where they lack was a good business decision on their part. Business has been a good start but with the information management on the line business can easily turn for the worse, so software for Club IT is in process. As a small company, Club IT uses an intranet structure. A private network that allows the owners and employees to have access providing resources for the club. ...Final Project: Club IT – Part 3 XBIS/219 Final Project: Club IT - Part 3 Introduction From day one, the assignment given by Ruben and Lisa has been overwhelming, but fun. The excitement is getting to know the staff, their duties, and to watch them work a full house, as well as entertaining friends at Club IT. The overwhelming part is all the information and ideas that needs integrated and implemented into this club. As an intern hired to complete the needs of Club IT, the major focus is helping Ruben and Lisa expand, maintain, and continue to build its client list. Club IT is a nightclub of music and dance. Ruben Keys, a drummer and Lisa Tejada, a jazz violinist, both graduates with Business Administration degrees, decided to own and operate a nightclub ("Club It", 2000-2013). They have come to realize that running a business goes beyond having degrees and physical experience with nightclubs. Ruben and Lisa have discovered that there is a need for business information systems, more in the realm of full analysis of their information needs. This technology plan will give more insight and focus on what it takes for Club IT to get to the level of competitiveness in their market, the integration of customer relations management software and open-source software applications with their current systems, and a financial projection overview giving cost analysis, productive areas, and growth. Organization and Demographic Information Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada...

...Club IT Part 1 Maria Acosta XBIS/ 219 December 20, 2012 Richard Vincent Club IT Part 1 Club IT is a night club that Rueben Keys and Lisa Tejada have put together, to provide some high quality entertainment for everyone to enjoy, especially their adult friends. The mission statement for Club It is “We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ’s, dance space, and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT.” (R. Kelly Rainer & Turban, 2009) What Rueben and Lisa have done is take a 6000 square foot location, remodeled it to accommodate a 600 square foot dance floor, seating for 220 people, four wells and bar, a kitchen that serves appetizers and short orders. They have different music genres every week providing a variety of musical acts to fit a variety of consumers. They have a limited information system that provides just the basics for tracking, employees and information access and security. My goal is to provide the needed information that will guide Rueben and Lisa to make the necessary additions and changes to their technical and information systems that will ultimately prove to be profitable for them in the long run. First we need to address the security of their information system, we see that the employees and proprietors all have the same user name and password and can view the same information, personal and otherwise. Employees need their own...

...Club IT part 2 Xbis/219 12/16/2012 Club IT so far has managed to be successful so their reputation is good in the community that they serve. Although Club IT has managed to be successful with their current operating system it is necessary to improve business operations in Club IT in order to grow and also to expand to the next level. While noticing what areas that can be improved on and then developing a plan of action for those improvements Club IT will become more efficient in serving its customers and to attract new customers. Some of the things that I have noticed are that Club IT customers are mostly of the Net Generation meaning that they regularly use mobile technologies. I noticed that Club IT has yet to take advantage of the many e-commerce activities available in dealing with suppliers and guest. Finally Club IT sells advance tickets for special Friday and Saturday night concerts by phone or also in person. Upgrading in their information technology (IT) system can improve aspects of their business. Club IT can specifically use an upgrade in the Supply chain and Customer relationship management systems in my opinion. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software that fully integrates the system can make the two IT systems more efficient. To have more control over inventory Club IT must implement the Supply chain management system (SCM). Reuben and Lisa are currently reordering supplies when they see they are low and sometimes they order extra surplus and sometimes...

...Club IT, Part 2 Adger Matthews BIS/219 May 23, 2011 Steven Goldstein Club IT, Part 2 Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada have asked for a full analysis of their information needs in their newly established and remodeled club. Upon spending one evening at the club enjoying the wide variety of music, food, and social interactions it is clear to me that this club could greatly benefit from upgraded IT system (Rainer & Turban, 2008). Club IT’s Resources Club IT’s mission is to seek to provide a place where people can regularly meet and enjoy a wide variety of music and entertainment. The establishment also provides appetizers and beverages to add to a comfortable and unique setting. With its remodeled interior of high ceilings and high energy lighting, the club offers a prismatic and high energy dance scene that artistically adds to the energy of the club. The club focuses on a high energy dance scene that provides Hip-Hop, techno, electronic and a MP3 Disc Jockey. Live music is occasional on hand and only adds to the extensive atmosphere. The primary clientele seems to a younger and more energetic customer. Though the club does attract a wide range of ages, the younger group outweighs the rest, due primarily on the music selections and the fast pace of the night club (Rainer & Turban, 2008). The younger crowd, in this day in age is more in touch with using the internet and the other resources that are tied into World Wide Web, i.e. mobile applications...

...Club IT, Part 2 Tina Bell XBIS/219 November 10, 2013 Katherine Escobar Club IT, Part 2 Club IT, Part 2 Club IT is a night club owned by Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keys. They are seeking advice and guidance on how to maintain their high energy, high-impact club. Ruben also wants to explore some new e-commerce technologies and applications to help build his clubs clientele and community and to help their business be more efficient. Their clientele regularly uses mobile technologies like the Blackberries, camera phones, PDA’s, and other wireless communication devices. Ruben wants to set up a web site to handle the ticket sales that he now sells on the phone or by person. Currently, Club IT has a dial up connection which makes it hard to do research for the club much less run a business. There are the resources, customers, and the supply chain to define and discuss how to resolve these issues, finally, a project development method to do a proper analysis of Club IT. Club IT’s Resources, Customers, and Supply chain Enterprise resource Planning (ERP), supply chain management (SCM), and the customer relationship management (CRM) are part of a system to resolve Club IT’s technological and management problems. To look at them as a whole will help see the problem as a whole then later we will break them down individually. ...Associate Level Material Appendix D Club IT, Part 2 To learn more about Club IT’s operations, you stayed until the 2:00 a.m. closing this morning to see how everything was tallied and accounted at the end of a business day. Although it was a late night and you had to wake up early this morning to report back to work, you now have a better understanding of the daily business cycle at Club IT. You are energized when Lisa asks you for suggestions on how to use club and public resources to keep Club IT’s edge as the high-energy, high-impact club it strives to be. The Internet research you have been doing for Lisa and Ruben has been eye-opening, but it is also exasperatingly slow on their dialup connection in their cramped back office. You have a lot of ideas for useful network applications at Club IT. There are many opportunities for discovery and collaboration among employees, members and business partners. You decide to take the initiative and research network applications for the benefit of Club IT. You have interviewed Ruben and the rest of the staff at Club IT and have compiled the following notes: • Club IT’s customers are mostly Net Generation and Millennials. They regularly use mobile technologies such as Blackberries, PDAs, camera phones, and other wireless communication devices. Online shopping is a regular part of their lives. • Not many nightclubs have taken advantage of various e-commerce activities, and Ruben sees this as an opportunity to gain...

...Club IT Part 2 Jimmy Davis January 20, 2012 XBIS/219 Michael Peterson When it comes to Club IT the company is constantly growing and is becoming the spot in the town for everybody to be at, especially if you want to have fun and enjoy yourself everyone is having a good time and enjoying themself. The owners and executive Ruben and Lisa are very excited for how their business has grown but even though they is excited of their business they are ready to make a few changes with their business and information systems. After Ruben and Lisa have stayed at the club a few times and have been watching how their business is being operated as they get ready to shut down, they had come up with a few problems. The owners came to assumptions about their company that in order to keep it up that the computer hardware and internet service really needs to be upgraded. Even if they do one at a time it is only right if they bring the tools up to date so they can be able to keep the business a success. I also think that if they keep a more efficient system of how to track customer orders and handle their inventory as needed since the clubs has a big popularity and is constantly growing by the weeks just imagine if they upgrade everything the money they spent on the item to upgrade will pay for itself. Another issue is that Ruben ad Lisa are not taken advantage of participating in e-commerce promote the club online do whatever it takes to...

...Club IT, Part 3 Student Name Axia College of University of Phoenix XBIS 219 Instructor Date Opened in 2005, Club IT has enjoyed success in a business, nightclub, where many fail. This is mostly because of the experience of the owners, Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada. Both Keys and Tejada graduated from college with degrees in Business Administration and during college they both worked in numerous nightclubs as musicians while attending college. Entertainment at Club IT is all music related with live bands on the weekends and a live DJ on the weekdays. Club IT's customers are mostly tech knowledgeable young adults. Smart phones, tablets, and other forms of wireless communications are part of their everyday lives and they are just as likely to shop online as they are to shop at a brick and mortar business. (Appendix D, n.d.) Also, their customers are frequent visitors to social media sites like Facebook and Youtube. Even though the owners have experience their success is impressive because their information systems are either non existent or out of date. The primary goal of information systems is to process data into information and knowledge. Data is raw information that has not been organized or analyzed. Once data has been organized so it has meaning and value it becomes information. Data and knowledge that has been processed to convey understanding, experience, accumulated learning, and expertise as they apply to a business-related problem is considered knowledge...

...Club IT part 2 Mark Reis Xbis/219 August 18, 2013 Katherine Escobar Club IT part 2 Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada along with many other business owners understand that information system technologies will let their originations to compete and flourish in the market place. Lisa, Rubin, and a systems consultant have analyzed the current information system status and during this analysis they have identified three areas that need improvement. This prompted Lisa and Ruben made the decision to upgrade their information management systems. The first problem their information system identified was neither Lisa nor Ruben were not up-to-speed with e-commerce. The second problem is that their computers are old and out-dated along with that their Internet connection was the old hard-wired system that plugged directly into the computer. The third problem, they need a better way to keep track of customer orders along with keeping track of inventory. A “Water Fall” method was Lisa and Rubens choice of method to use in their systems analysis (Wiley Higher Education, 2006). Current Information System Lisa and Rubin use their information system to help run their business and in their decision-making process’ (Wiley Higher Education, 2006). Their intranet and using the Internet helps them search for and retrieve needed information quickly. The web site has a login for employees, and they can access their personal information like, how many hours they...
