Swift’s parents recognized Taylor’s passion for country music and decided to bring their daughter to Nashville to perform at small gigs, hoping to attract someone’s attention. Fortunately record label holder Scott Borchetta was hooked when he saw Swift perform one night at the Bluebird Cafe. At the age of 15, Taylor Swift was signed to Borchetta’s Big Machine Records . This was just the beginning of her successful music career (“Taylor Swift” 1). In August 2006, Swift released her first official single “Tim McGraw.” Later that year she went on to release her debut album entitled Taylor Swift. The album eventually hit the top of the charts and earned Swift her first platinum record with over 2 million copies sold (Danielsen 1). It can be an exceptional advertising tool, and many employers choose to issue workwear to their staff as a marketing strategy. Working clothing is gaining popularity worldwide, and the INDIA market, being one of the fast-evolving markets, is likely to witness a huge opportunity to increase the penetration. It is very well likely to reflect the future of the workwear market throughout the world. This research identifies major trends and challenges within the INDIA workwear market and details market size and segmentation from 2005 to 2015. This workwear and uniforms research is separated into three main market segments. First is “General Workwear,” which is further broken down into blue and white workwear. ...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So last Monday, I was able to use an awesome shop with a lift and all the tools needed to do my rear suspension thanks to Chris (CMT) and Ben (Bin_jammin). The only catch was that we had to do it after shop hours, and finish by the time the shop opened (8 am). Seeing how Calvin and I are always up for some wrenching and a good challenge, we accepted and got started on the car at around 9 pm. First of all, I’d like to thank Ben and Calvin again for their help. No way that I could have done this by myself, or got it done in nearly the time that we did. Calvin has done this multiple times, so he was a huge help, and Ben is an excellent welder/fabricator. Now just for some background information, my car has 120k miles on it and the symptoms were that the rear end would be hesitant in transitional changes and over any bumps mid turn. I’ve got a full suspension on my car, and I’ve replaced almost everything to date, so it was pretty obvious that the rear bushings were the culprit. I replaced the 4 subframe bushings with Poly Powerflex bushings, the 4 balljoints with new Lemforder parts, the 3 diff bushings with Lemforder parts, and the two LCA bushings with Lemforder parts. What I didn’t replace were the bushings that came new with my SPC LCA’s, the RTAB’s (already have UUC Poly in there), and the RSM’s (already have GC RSM’s). There are 19 bushings total for anyone who is interested in doing...

...At 8:30 a.m., all of the students begin filing into the classroom. They proceed to do their regularly scheduled activities of putting away their coats, backpacks, and then checking in. Unlike last week, all seems to go well in the morning. I notice that some of the students don’t check in right away and the attendance taker reminds them to check-in. When a few of the students still don’t check-in, the attendance taker consults with Mrs. Sinatro on what to do. Mrs. Sinatro informs the student that she should just mark the students absent. This decision left me feeling really uncomfortable. Whenever a student is marked absent, it is noted in their “permanent record.” I don’t think it is fair to penalize a student so much just for not following directions. There has to be a milder way to do it. You might think about how long students have had this policy in place and if they should be responsible for doing this on their own. I tend to think like you, but students do need to develop responsibility. I’m sure the teacher doesn’t want to have parents commenting on absences that were not absences. At 8.40 a.m., the students head to Success Makers in the library (see description above). During this time, Mrs. Sinatro and I take the time to correct homework from the previous night. I am happy to be included in doing this task, even if it is small, because I know that it is something that will have to be done when I am a certified teacher. At 9:00 a.m., the students return to the classroom...

...Learning Team Reflection: Week 2 IRAC Brief Case: An appeal of a judgment made by Nineteenth Judicial District Court, Number 555,931, Sec. 27, parish of East Battalion Rouge, State of Louisiana, which upheld a jury verdict finding the appellate defendant All Star Chevrolet, Inc. d/b/a All Star Automotive Group and Employer insurance of Wausau liable to plaintiff appellate Russell Cole. The accident was caused by rear wheel falling off and Cole’s left side hit the driver’s side window as he struggled to control the vehicle personal injuries that manifested the morning after through a painful neck and back, and sought medical attention on June, 26, 2006. All Star disputed the jury finding of liability. They contend that there is no evidence at all to that could indicate that the wheel rotation and balancing was willfully botched to eventually cause the accident after a whole 192 miles on the road from June 3 to 8, 2006. In an action to recover damages for injuries caused by another’s injuries, the burden of proof was on the side of the plaintiff by adducing admissible evidence – both direct and circumstantial. In trying to prove an absence of guilt, All Star response alleged foul play on the side of Cole with claims that he tampered with the lug nuts on the wheel, but offered no evidence. As such, we find the jury to have been order to award Cole damages for the June 8, damages. Issue: Was the defendant liable for the damages to the plaintiff and was the defendant responsible...

...Child Study Cynthia Machol ED603 – Human Growth & Development University of New Haven March 28, 2011 Introduction As a future teacher it is important to be able to understand the physical, cognitive, and emotional changes that students are going through. Teachers must be versed in the basis of all areas of development. Teachers have a huge responsibility to give their students a positive, enlightening classroom in which they can blossom physically, cognitively, and emotionally. A teacher that understands their students’ physical development may find it easier to identify a possible cause to a problem a child is having in school. Understanding the stages of cognitive development is of the utmost importance. Knowing a child’s starting point is essential for a teacher so they can plan the right way to help move the child through their zone of proximal development. It is a teacher’s job to promote thinking abilities in their students. By asking higher order questions a teacher will help in their cognitive development. A child’s development of personality and self-esteem is important to not only their schooling, but in their whole life. A teacher can help their students establish this personality and give them multiple ways to develop their sense of self. My purpose in this child study is to be able to analyze an individual child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development and determine how the changes she is going through will affect her learning and behavior. ...
