Code of Ethics
All employees that are affiliated with this company should follow list of rules below in regards to behavior, and ethical decision making:
1. All employees should conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner when completing all tasks and duties that are associated with the company.
2. All employees should be treated equally and no one should be discriminated against based on race, gender, religion, or beliefs.
3. Our customers are the base of our success; customers are our number one priority and should be treated accordingly by meeting their needs and wants. This will help to increase the quality of our services.
4. Dishonesty has a zero tolerance policy within this company. Any employee who is dishonest will be terminated and any property belonging to the company that is removed without permission of the owners of this company, legal action will be sought out against that employee.
5. All employees should try to strive for what is best for the company as a whole and not for personal gratification. Any employee choosing to seek self-gratification instead of what’s best for the company as a whole will result in suspension and possible termination.
These are the five top things that I feel are a standard in many companies that I have worked for in the past. I believe that these are good ground rules to start the foundation of ethical conduct on. Putting structure in place for employees will show them the consequences that they will endure for their actions if they choose to not follow the rules. I believe this is the first step to helping the business run properly and everyone knowing what is expected of them. I feel that most of these ground rules are morally and legally correct should an issue arise the company will be within legal, moral, and ethical rights to handle each situation accordingly.

I am studying to become a radiologist technician and this is the base and guidelines for my career. These guidelines make sure that everyone in this profession knows what is right and what is wrong in this line of work. A code of ethics also helps to set a standard for the business or company you are working for. Having a code of ethics for this field of work is very beneficial. In November, 2001 the company admitted to using faulty accounting that had inflated income figures over a four year period of $586 million and a month later the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy (Maxwell, 2003, p. 1).
