... Author Note Correspondence concerning this article should be addressed to Vivienne Huang, E-mail: Vivienne.huang@gmail.com Abstract Managerial leadership styles greatly determine how organizations deal with challenges and capitalize opportunities in the hospitality industry, especially for organizations with multi-level operational structures and numerous geographic locations. Changes of managerial leadership style of senior corporate management can significantly impact job satisfaction and retention of middle managers which ultimately affect a firm’s ability to maintain customer satisfaction, enhance competitive advantage in the marketplace, and sustain profitability. While traditional management approaches supply standards and processes, direct and control people, work in the system to deal with status-quo, effective managerial leadership provides leaders the integrating capacity to significantly impact on the life of their followers and the future of the organization. Interactions between top management and middle management are critical for meeting organizational objectives and executing strategic development. Top executives must carefully examine and determine the most appropriate managerial leadership style that inspire, motivate, guide and support middle managers to achieve higher performance, commitment, trust and morale that lead to sustainable success of the organization. ...standard economics. It will address the global financial crisis from a neuroeconomic point of view and finally it will offer real world applications for the insights neuroeconomics offers. Neuroeconomics is the name that has been given to the latest generation of study in the field of economics. The field of economics has seen a number of developments in recent times as scholars have sought to use other disciplines to further illuminate economic theories. Psychology has been tried but over the last decade the focus has shifted to the more scientifically measurable field of neuroscience. The result is a new area of study that seeks to clarify and correct many of the previously unmeasurable assumptions about the way humans make economic decisions. While this new field of neuroeconomics has seen many papers on the topic published, not all scholars agree. Ariel Rubinstein makes an interesting observation. "The rise of neuroeconomics is coming at a point in time when economic theory is not producing any exciting insights." (2008, p.485) Rubinstein critiques the field on several levels and questions what will actually come from this field, before indicating that neuroeconomics may one day make a valuable contribution to the field of economics. (2008, p. 493) Gul and Pesendorfer (Caplan and Schotter, 2008, p.4) contend that neuroeconomic critiques of economics theory have misunderstood the flexibility of conventional economic models....

Received: 28 June 2012; in revised form: 24 August 2012 / Accepted: 28 August 2012 / Published: 5 September 2012 Abstract: In the past decade, research has accumulated suggesting that excessive Internet use can lead to the development of a behavioral addiction. Internet addiction has been considered as a serious threat to mental health and the excessive use of the Internet has been linked to a variety of negative psychosocial consequences. The aim of this review is to identify all empirical studies to date that used neuroimaging techniques to shed light upon the emerging mental health problem of Internet and gaming addiction from a neuroscientific perspective. Neuroimaging studies offer an advantage over traditional survey and behavioral research because with this method, it is possible to distinguish particular brain areas that are involved in the development and maintenance of addiction. A systematic literature search was conducted, identifying 18 studies. These studies...
