Ever since I was little I was expected to go to college, and I even remember my aunts repeating over and over again that I would be, “the first Clancy girl to go to Harvard.” As you can see I did not make it to Harvard, but my family has always had these high standards that they set for me. ...Why Go To College? It is a cold, brisk morning; the sun has not quite peeked above the mountains yet. I get up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing and trudge to take a shower and get clothes put on. I grab my books from the previous night’s study along with my car keys and head out the door. However there are some ways to reduce the amount of debt, for instance colleges could pay athletes to play, offer more grants or loans and they could offer more work study programs.
