...Love Styles Ginnina Pleze American Public University System Instructor John Hetherington COMM285 February 14, 2015 Love Styles Using sociologist John Alan Lee's love styles (refer to pages 261- 263 of Intimate Relationships, and pay special attention to Table 8.7 'Styles of Loving' found on the top of page 262) from chapter eight of "Intimate Relationships", what is the predominant love style for most of the characters presented in the book, Confusing Love with Obsession. Using John Alan Lee’s love styles as a reference it seems that the characters from, “Confusing Love with Obsession” mainly fall in the mania category when deciding what their style of loving is. The fourth style mania defines that persons love style as possessive, demanding and full of vivid fantasy obsession (Miller 2011). In the book “Confusing Love with Obsession” the people came across as controlling it’s an issue that is seen a lot in relationships without a valid reason for it. The problem that is discovered is that a lot of people confuse love with obsession. Although it is not realized it’s not surprising that people tend to have a mania love style. The person in the relationship that has the mania love style has to control the relationship to ensure that they can control the other which to them means that they control the love. The Internet use, electronic mail, and employee privacy policies needed to be reevaluated so employees can comply with company formal policies, regulations, procedures and because in the past our company’s managerial staff experienced many unresolved issues with employees due to their uncertainty to how to implement our policies. As a result O & R Fashion Incorporated with the association of its HR services developed an updated policy manual to monitor emails, and Internet access, however; providing the appropriate balance between company’s rights and employee’s privacy rights. The new changes and implementations to our existing privacy policies will reduce or even avoid misunderstandings or any similar situations in the future. Just walking down the street we give out signals whether good or bad. While walking down the street have you have met someone in passing who just gave you the creeps well it was most likely their body language filling you in. There are several different areas of body language and they are all important whether you are going to a job interview or on a first date. Body language tells other people the things that you may be afraid to say. Body Language: Communication regardless of the type has been around since the beginning of time. When communicating there are three ways, which consist of talking, body movements, and the written word (letters, email, and texting). Couples communicate in all three of these ways usually on a daily basis. Nonverbal communication can be used to show a variety of feelings with as little as one nonverbal sign such as the look on someone’s face and as small as the look in someone’s eyes (Miller, 2012, p. 145). Finding the right person for a mate is a difficult job all within its self, but it can make it easier if body language is understood this could be a problem of the past if people knew the signs of interest and not interested.
