The book I read was Forged by Fire by Sharon Draper. I really liked this book so I’m going to explain it to you. In the first of the book the little boy Gerald could not live with his mother so he had to be moved in with his Aunt Queen later on in the book they tell you how the mama left him home alone when he was 3 years old and the apartment caught fire. The book goes on and it becomes his birthday and he Aunt Queen told him that his mom was visiting him for his birthday.
