Through these interviews with the burglars I found difference, and commonalities between them. These burglars did not just one day decide to wake up and do the things that they do which is stealing and taking other people items. These are teenagers that range from ages sixteen and above who burglarizes other people homes, steal items because they need money, and have nothing else to do. These burglars from the interview were all influence by other people either friend or someone they know; they themselves have never actually done it before or have never thought about doing it. The burglar from the third interview said “that he thought about stealing car but, never to burglarize home” (interview3 pg.1). He also said that he would not go to a high class area because he knows that he most likely will get caught due to the fact that they are rich and they might have burglars’ alarms. When this burglar mentions middle class area the interviewer ask him how he knows; and he said that those people will only be driving a certain type of cars that will not cost too much. Additionally he says that he will only target places that are reachable. By reachable he means only if that specific place has a window he can climb through. Furthermore the way he would organize these crimes is by just hanging around somewhere and then his friends would come and get him. He personally would not plan this out by himself. His friend would typically scoped it out for a few days and then go to him and ask if he can help them grab some stuff.
