SCENARIO #1
Due to the urgency and immediate feedback needed in order to develop a strategy to expand globally; it is my recommendation that Oral Communication in the form of a face-to-face meeting be conducted between the Marketing Manager and his team. This form of communication will allow the team members the opportunity to brainstorm and exchange ideas in an effort to develop a step-by-step strategy.
Once this strategy has been developed, the Marketing manager can convey this information to the Vice President by using Upward Communication. This form of communication is used when communicating and providing feedback to higher ups. In order to be effective, the Marketing manager must make good use of the Vice President’s time by establishing a detailed agenda with specific and relevant headlines that show step by step actions needed to obtain successful results.

SCENARIO #2

In this scenario, employees at a travel agency are unable to login to a computer application used by all employees due to login and password issues. It is extremely important that this matter be resolved as quickly as possible in order to prevent lost of revenue that this issue could potentially cause. Therefore, it is my recommendation that Oral Communication via phone be used when contacting the IT department. This channel will provide they fastest means of conveying the problem and ensuring a speedy resolution. Once the new logins/passwords have been obtained it should be communicated to all employees using Downward Communication in multiple forms of Written Communication including Email, IM, and bulletins. While it is imperative that this information is delivered in a timely manner it is also extremely important that the proper security measures be taken when doing so. Leaks of company
