The sharing of information between two or more people to achieve a common understanding about an object or situation.



Successful communication occurs when the person receiving the message understands it in the way that the sender intended.

Importance of Communication


The need for communication pervades organizations. Jobs cannot be adequately accomplished, goals cannot be met, sales order cannot be filled, and problems cannot be solved without adequate communication.



Communication system in an organization affect numerous outcomes that are central to an organization’s functioning and competitive advantage.
