Health care centers must have risk management and policies so that staff, faculty, clients and patients can be aware of all the rules so employers can respond to emergencies effectively. I believe technology may affect communication in health care because misunderstanding may occur. Doctors and nurses and all of health care staff should communicate with each other face to face rather than always using the internet, text, emails, etc. If doctors spoke with each other face to face then cases could be understood better, it will eliminate any misunderstandings, and there would be no waiting around for an answer. I believe the staff and doctor understand the results of technology and communication and coordination may lead to medical errors and it might cause a major problems. These days technology is very popular.
Working in the health care field I have noticed that most physicians do not like to communicate face to face. I believe we are having major issues understand the physicians and figuring out what they want and need. Even nurses don’t want face to face communication. My health care employer just launched the new IPhone 5 so we can now communicate via text messaging or by phone
This was implemented so that we can eliminate errors and start communicating in a better way rather than making mistakes. Most employees did not like the idea and wanted to address the issue. My facility then held a formal conference for each department with training on the iPhone and explain the risk management, rules, and regulations and how it is going to help us. So far it is going pretty well.
If this continues health centers will be more effective in communicating with their staff so no issues can occur. Every 6 months I believe there should be meetings and seminars held to update the new system and keep all employers informed of new rules and
