BUSINESS PROCESS - MARKETING Marketing is simply the process of communicating the value of a particular product of services to prospective customers. The main objective of this essay is to define and highlight the relevance of marketing as an essential part of any business process .Marketing does not only communicate the value of a particular product; it also plays an important role in maintaining a relationship with the customer. Individuals who solely specialize in marketing activities for a company are known as marketers. The Attitude of marketers is very important to a business because they serve as representatives of the company to prospective customers. Marketing helps to ensure business renewal and Growth, winning and retaining customers and in some cases could lead to superior cash flow. Marketing can be categorizes into three main business processes which on the long run, generates value for customers; customer relationship management, supply chain management and product development management.
The survival of any business that renders services or sells products to people depends on the marketing effectiveness of their marketing team since most businesses need the patronage from customers to ensure their continuity. High turnover is often not guaranteed when introducing a new product if that product was not properly marketed. Another reason why marketing is relevant is because of the fact that the final stage of any business transaction involves delivery of value to the prospective customers which would be difficult to achieve with poor marketing. Marketing has an influence on other business processes as it helps organizations whose primary objective is to deliver value to customers while increasing their turnover to cover cost of production and other operating expenses more likely to achieve their goal.
