Demonstrative Communication

Communication is expressed in different ways. Communication is the process of sending and receiving messages. Communicating can be done verbally or nonverbally, written or unwritten. One way of communicating which is not so easy to control is demonstrative communication. Demonstrative communication is a nonverbally and unwritten form of communicating. It involves communicating with facial expressions, body language, and wordless messages.
Demonstrative communication can be used together with verbal communication but can also send and receive messages on its own. Facial expressions are a major form of demonstrative communication. Everyone is not a Psychographic ology expert but most people can read someone’s face by looking at them. For example, when people are mad they tend to frown, when someone is lying sometimes they look away or hesitate before they speak, when someone is happy they smile or sigh when something’s bothering them. Demonstrative communication helps to reinforce verbal communication. For instance when going to a job interview dressing professional, a firm handshake and a friendly gesture can speak highly about the kind of person he or she is. A person may use these qualities to feel in powered about his or her verbal performance. First impressions are partially based on demonstrative communication. First impressions on how a person looks and how they act are what people are judged upon from there on. Nonverbal signals can show a person what he or she might think of him or her. When meeting someone you can usually tell if the person’s friendly by their smile, tone of voice or body language. A person can get an idea of what the other person likes because of his or her actions and also by the way a person lives her or her life style, for instance where they live, how
