South Dundas, long before the municipality was identified as South Dundas, has for numerous reasons been recognized as a close-to-perfect location to live and raise a family. The almost rural community is chock full of beautiful, historic brick homes, many fronting one of the great, truly spectacular waterways on the planet. Residents enjoy choices in almost all aspects of community life. There are active Legion’s and Lions’ Clubs, Optimists Clubs, IOOF groups, politicians who familiarize with and can acknowledge residents, Food Banks, sports groups and organizations, a rare abundance of waterfront and water accessible parkland including a dog park, and more and more and more.

May 2007 Wildlife Biology Conservation of leopard in Ayubia National Park, Pakistan Director: Dr. Daniel H. Pletscher Large carnivores are important for biodiversity and ecosystem function, yet are very difficult to conserve because of their large home ranges and conflicts with humans. I examined human-leopard conflicts in and near Ayubia National Park, Pakistan, to provide management recommendations for the conservation of leopards. Persecution of leopards by humans has been on the rise primarily due to depredation on livestock and risk to human lives. Since 1989, 16 humans have either been killed or injured in and around Ayubia National Park while leopards faced 44 human-caused mortalities during the same period.
