Recipient: Microsoft, its board of directors and Professor
About: All windows products and services
Issue: There has to be some type of resolve. The products are too expensive, especially for those who have purchased every upgrade Microsoft has supplied over the years. Many people have pc’s; many pc’s have some software Microsoft has made throughout the years. It is unfair for your loyal consumers to have a product and have to pay retail price to upgrade it. For example, Microsoft Office 2010 retails for about $150.00. In order to keep people from stealing your software you must lower your prices. This is why much of your software is pirated. It is cost acceptable for some people to have to pay full price for just a code emailed to them.
For an accurate demographic of actual copies of your products you must tally the sales and the traffic to the malicious websites. This will let you know how many people are actually buying your products. What we need to focus on is repeat customers; we also need to focus on retention. This is the only way to stay ahead of the software production peak. For many people that have bought your products in the past they have stolen, pirated, or stopped buying your products all together. There is a lot of competition in the software field if you actually care about Microsoft’s consumers you will make your software affordable for them. Free trails are a good thing, although they end before the user has any way to learn whether or not they like your product or not. On the other hand Microsoft does not provide refunds for Windows licenses sold through an OEM, including licenses that come with the purchase of a computer or are pre-installed on a computer. This alone is almost like robbery. The solution Microsoft needs to seek is lowering prices and taking care of their

...Discuss whether the current international regulatory environment for the auditing profession is robust enough to ensure that the external auditors of listed companies provide reports to owners and investors which are sufficiently independent to serve the public interest. Introduction As we will discover, the topic posed above is a complex one, which has many arguments both in favour and against the stability of the present regulatory environment in ensuring that the audits which auditors produce are indeed impartial enough to satisfy the public interest. We will first proceed in identifying the term “public interest” in light of the accounting and auditing profession. From this will be an explanation of what is the current regulatory environment, which will then lead us to arguments for and against auditors retaining their independence. Relevant sources will be used, including some concerning current thinking on the matter. From this a suitable conclusion can be made. What is meant by “the public interest” in relation to the (accounting and) audit profession? The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC 2010) soundly defines the public interest as any individual or entity which is affected by the work of the accountancy profession: in other words, society as a whole. Dell Company Report

...Dell History Dell is an American technology company based in Round Rock, Texas which develops, manufactures, sells, and supports personal computers, servers, data storage devices, network switches, software, televisions, computer peripherals, and other technology-related products. In 1984, Michael Dell while a student at the University Of Texas founded the company as PC’s Limited with a capital of 1000.00. He operated from his off campus dorm room where he strived to sell IBM PC compatible computers. He believed that by selling personal computer systems directly to the customer, PC’s Limited could better understand the needs of the customers. Michael Dell then dropped out of school to focus full time on his growing business after receiving 300,000.00 in expansion capital from his family. In 1985 the first computer of its own design was produced and called “The Turbo PC.” PC’s Limited advertised the systems in the national computer magazines for sales directly to the consumers and custom assembled each ordered unit. This offered buyers prices lower than those of retail brands. Although PC’s Limited was not the first to use this model, they were the first to succeed with it grossing over 73 million in the first year. In 1987 the company set up its first operations in the United Kingdom. Eleven more international operations followed in the next 4 years. In 1988 the company changed it’s name to Dell Computer Corporation. Dell grew through the 1980s and 1990s...

...Executive summary: This report is dedicated to provide a detailed analysis of The Movenpick Hotel Hanoi’s selection devices for hiring employees and its strengths and weaknesses. The method of analysis used for this report are examining the Movenpick’s application form and interviewing the hotel’s Human Resources specialist-Mrs. Thoa. After analyzing the raw material from Mrs. Thoa, the results were produced. The selection process follows 3 steps with valid and reliable methods and a set of criteria: application form, interview and performance-simulation test. The strengths of those selection devices are enormous since it helps with filtering suitable candidates who meet certain key criteria with right attitude from the application form. The interview is the phase where the company can assess and gain a deeper understanding about the candidates and the final step which is performance-simulation can actually assist managers in predicting and evaluating candidates’ future performance. However; there are some weaknesses concerning cost and time that were identified while the raw information is analyzed. Before each hiring period, the hotel has to prepare everything carefully in advance, from scheduling, setup to training and report and the period of 2 months trial simulation would be too long and wasted on disqualified candidates. Therefore, the weaknesses need minimizing to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the whole process. It is recommended that the Hotel...
