Once technology becomes so advanced, mankind will be destroyed. “In Nightmare #3” the technology grew and advanced into too much of a human type characteristic that they revolted and fought back against the people; however, one person was still smarter than the machines and thought on his feet to get away from the machines. In both Bradbury and Teasdale’s “There Will Come Soft Rains”, the people all died and nature took over after the people depended on technology too much. Even with very little thought process the machines still caused the downfall and destruction of the people. In the future in “By the Waters of Babylon” after all of the things have gone and been forgotten people will still worship the advanced technology of their past.
