In 2015, statistics have shown that about 155 millions of people in the United States are playing video games and the population of gamers worldwide is more than 1.2 billion. Both have a semi-custom AMD APU which is a 28 nanometer part made by TSMC that have a eight-core jaguar CPU(central processing unit) with Radeon 7000-series CPU. The Xbox One has faster CPU because it is at 1.75 GHz while the PS4 is at 1.60 GHz. Both consoles have 8GB of RAM(random access memory). PS4 has a mid range Pitcairn GPU that it is in Radeon HD 7870 while Xbox One has a entry-level Bonaire GPU which is in the older version HD 7790. PS4 GPU has 18 compute unit while the Xbox One has 12 compute units, but the Xbox One GPU is faster at 853 MHz while PS4’s 800 MHz.

Xbox One has 274 games available for purchase while PS4 has about 340 available for purchase. .Both PS4 and Xbox One has the best titles of this generation of consoles. Xbox One has first-party games such as Forza Motorsport 6 and Halo 5: Guardians. PS4 has first-party games such as Uncharted 4 and Until Dawn. Xbox One has third party games such as Fallout 4,Shovel Knight and the witcher 3 while PS4 has third-party games such as the Call of Duty:Black Ops 3 and Destiny.
Even though having identical libraries , but Xbox One has backward compatibility. Currently about 138 Xbox 360 games are playable on the Xbox One such as Fallout 3 and Mass Effect
